been using xubuntu 17.10 beta since 09/26, even if everything is in progress like OP suggests it's already super stable.
shit was up for 10 days straight while i installed a pile of packages and dependencies, hundreds of them.
It's rock solid. xubuntu beta is more stable than kunbuntu LTE. lulz
