"I'm going to call my stockbroker and move half a million to cash in order to put a down payment on my next real estate investment."

>I can't watch porn in peace on Android

>"if you think about it the price difference isn't really that much."
That's true. If anything Apple stuff is much cheaper since it lasts longer.
>"headphone jacks are obsolete"
Duh. Google realized it too, Apple just showed them the way.
>"apple actually cares about it's customers"
In a sense that they care about customer satisfaction, since it's their business model. Applel wants to give you an experience that's so great, you'd want to buy more of their shit. Another company, say Google focuses more on giving you some cheap shit, to get your data since that's their business model.

But there is no reason to remove the headphone jack if it isn't in the way of anything

Then why was apple denied motion to dismiss the iOS gimping updates case?

Point proven.
Also, I must add to my list.
"IT LASTS LONGER, BUT THE PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE LETS THE COMPANY STAY RELEVANT TEEHEE WITH UPDATES THAT KILL MY DEVICE AFTER 1 YEAR".

>there is no reason to remove a huge ass port that can be replaced by one you already have
Are you the kind who complains about lack of dvd drives in premium laptops too?

Stop meming. This isn't Sup Forums.

All the normies I knew that updated right away got assfucked too.

This isn't /lgbt/ either.

You should join the lawsuit train. Especially since apple essentially told old iPhone users to go fuck themselves.

motherboard.vice.com/en_us/article/j5geby/the-iphone-is-guaranteed-to-last-only-one-year-apple-argues-in-court

It's already been proven that synthetic benchmarks have no effect on real world use especially because apple detects them and cheats on them anyways.

A11 is like 2X faster than the Snapdragon 835 in gookbench right? Well it's not in real life use.

If they literally just have an empty spot to put a DVD drive in the laptop why not have it?

how about a shit reddit migrants say thread instead

>See? iPhones get slower over time, look at this google search chart that shows no trend consistent with it!
>Trust me, I got a B in CS 101 and my mom told me I was very smart!

nice pasta

If you are unbiased, there is literally no reason to prefer Android. It's a laggy and buggy botnet OS running on shit hardware. If you unironically like Android you should probably neck yourself, you're no use to the world anyway.

Oneplus 5 vs iLag 7 Plus: youtu.be/hQtCeAJBp1A

>Note 8
Enjoy the bloated asscancer UI while you can since that load of shit will only last a year before it becomes too laggy to even use for web browsing.

>t. buttmad Appletard
Gays aren't welcome on this site.

8 probably sucks due iOS 11 being not quite finished.

youtube.com/watch?v=rec4TI07xeg
Even SE keeps up just fine with Note 8 and specially things like installing apps show a clear difference in user experience. Keep in mind that it's a comparison between a poorfag phone from 2015 that costs 350 bucks and one from 2017 that costs 900 or so.

youtube.com/watch?v=dJOWBUsEFfk
Look how N8 fails to keep up when it comes to actually performance intensive tasks.

>Lasts longer
It lasts until a new device is out. Apple products are made to be obsolete within a couple of years.

I've only heard this on Sup Forums.

>If you are unbiased, there is literally no reason to prefer Android. It's a laggy and buggy botnet OS running on shit hardware.
There's something you can do about that on one of those operating systems. Can you guess which one?

Apple (or at least their lawyers) have no fucking shame at all.

Shame doesn't win you court-cases.

The A11 in the iPhone8 uses all 6 cores when running Geekbench. The Snapdragon 835 only uses 4 of it's 8 cores when running Geekbench.

It's the only logical way to extrapolate the single core performances to the multi-core. It's a feature touted in the A11 that the A10 didn't have and it is the reason why the multi-core score jumped up so much.

However, it doesn't look like applications in general make use of all 6 cores, or that this really benefits most things except benchmarks that are deliberately made to utilize all cores to their maximum. After all, Macfags have long argued that apps only use a single core and iOS aggressively freezes background applications. So if your application isn't thrashing all available cores your A11 is basically being wasted.

On the other hand Android threads most applications out to all available cores.

>buying phones without a headphone jack
>buying phones without an easily replaceable battery
>sacrificing funcionality in favor of 'muh asthetic, muh fancy'

I cant believe people on Sup Forums are defending applel and/or google for the shit they do, grow up

>Look how N8 fails to keep up when it comes to actually performance intensive tasks.
That's Note 8 vs iPhone 7. The iPhone 8 is slower than the 7.

>8 probably sucks due iOS 11 being not quite finished.
>iphone 7 on iOS 11 is fine
>iphone 8 on iOS 11 is slower than the iphone 7
>iOS 11 was developed in conjunction with the A11 processor
>giving apple excuses when doing all of this in house is their reason for having such a cohesive platform

>The iPhone 8 is slower than the 7.
And now use your brain for a second, and consider why it could be the case despite faster hardware on paper. Unless of course you want to suggest that Tim Cook is enough of a madman to release a newer phone with noticeably slower SOC.

>iphone 7 on iOS 11 is fine
Looked like 10.
>iOS 11 was developed in conjunction with the A11 processor
That's not how any of this works. Even Applel isn't autistic enough to focus so much on a chip.
>giving apple excuses when doing all of this in house is their reason for having such a cohesive platform
The issues with iOS 11 are not related to hardware but badly optimised software, it happens, it sucks but it's a "iOS 11 suxxx :(" thing (and not necessary even that and might be down to apps not getting an update) and not "iPhone updates be bad/iPhone is slower than lagdroid" given the other results.

>And now use your brain for a second, and consider why it could be the case despite faster hardware on paper.
Because they made a processor that couldn't utilize all of its power cramped inside that tiny device with shit for contact with the frame and no head pipe.

>and not necessary even that and might be down to apps not getting an update
The benchmark apps haven't been updated since before even the iOS11 betas came out and they still utilize all the processor.

But I guess the other apps need optimizing :^)

It still should have no issues to keep up with older ones. Besides, it's not like it's even getting that hot.

Benchmark apps are one of the most simple ones you could make. They are basically like calculators with a stopwatch. Something more complex needs more work to play along with the OS without causing small issues, which slow things down a bit.

Benchmarking apps are one of the most complex actually.
You need to make sure it will utilize the hardware properly or else the benchmark will be useless. You can't just leave it up to the OS like with your standard applications.

It's also not like this is the first time Apple have made use of the big.LITTLE chip type, the A10 has the same architecture but with fewer little cores, it is just that this time processes should be able to thread to all six cores in a pinch though the little cores are primarily for low performance applications.

>or else the benchmark will be useless
As most are either way. Besides, it seems you're mixing up desktop benches with the shit on mobile, which are as simplistic as it gets and pretty limited (a lot like Prime95, which will run just fine on some toaster or the most recent chip), and it's a shame anyone pays any attention to that crap and still haven't found a more efficient way to determine performance.

>it is just that this time processes should be able to thread to all six cores in a pinch though the little cores are primarily for low performance applications.
Which is unlikely to be the case for apps that weren't updated. Also A10 was a lot simpler due using either the fast or the slow ones. With older apps it probably randomly just picks the shit, and given how close A11 slow cores are to A10 fast ones, it'd fit for the difference seen.

Not that I want to excuse the state of iOS11, shit still feels like a public beta. I just wonder whether THAT or the apps themselves are the main culprits.

I just told you that the benchmarking apps haven't been updated since before the iOS public betas. There's no reason to assume any app that has been updated since then should have worse scheduling than them.

The apps don't even choose the cores they use. That's part of the OS.

>That's true. If anything Apple stuff is much cheaper since it lasts longer.
Depends. If you take care of your electronics then you might be right, but normies are generally clumsy as fuck and occasionally replace their phones at the same rate as the average support period for an android phone.

>Duh. Google realized it too, Apple just showed them the way.
Last I checked Pixels were made fun of since they were a steaming pile of shit replacing an actually good line of phones. They're just continuing with the trend.
>apple actually cares about it's customers
No, they care about your money and do everything they can to make you buy more of their shit. Their customer service is miles better than Google's though.

>How am I supposed to play candy crush and browse Sup Forums without 6 GB of RAM?
You joke, but if the current trends are any indication then in a decade we will be saying this seriously.

Their lawyers don't. But that report was kinda off, they are saying that Apple shouldn't increase their warranty from 1 to whatever. So the lawyers of Apple number 1 rule is to make sure Apple makes money. E, G, Block that law that allows all to fix phones, the Qualcomm chip thing. A few other things as well.

>but normies are generally clumsy as fuck
And sometend to keep their phones with broken screens. Besides, updates and lasting longer obviously only matter for people who keep their phone for longer. If you were to upgrade every one, two years, there is no reason to care about phones being abandoned later.
>Pixels were made fun of since they were a steaming pile of shit replacing an actually good line of phones.
And still sold about the same. I honestly don't see how they still manage to remain successful with these but it's likely that a billion dollar company is making solid decisions for their bottom line, and their killing of headphone jack adds further confirmation that it's a good idea.
>they care about your money and do everything they can to make you buy more of their shit.
That's given. It's the ways they try to make you buy their shit, that stands out. Most companies just go at with a lower price, while Applel tries to get customers with superior experience, so you'll pick their shit over cheaper stuff.

Companies don't always make the right decisions. Too many times have companies killed successful product lines by making stupid design decisions.
Tbh as long as they keep removing the jack from high-end phones only we won't see much change. If they start doing this to low-end phones, this is when we'll see people complaining big time, since they probably won't be able to afford new headphones that easily.

I don't really care that the warranty stays at 1 year, but a warranty is there to protect you from manufacturing defects. The idea is that if the product was manufactured incorrectly in some way the problem should show up within the warranty period.

What it appears instead is that the iPhone 6 was designed with a defect, in particular those Touch ICs were not underfilled even though they were on older devices and on the newer 6S versions and that's a different kettle of fish.

Apple has done a lot of extended service plans for devices with sub-par components. Things that died outside the warranty period. But it took them a long time to respond to the Touch IC issue, and they're only covering 6 Plus models with their $150 repair, and they blame the user.

After Google killed the idea of "affordable high end hardware" for "same shit as everyone else just less inspired" the Nexus line already would've take a hit and stop being profitable if the customers didn't accept it, in reality it worked just fine and made them double down on this shit with Pixel and even harder with Pixel 2. A Pixel 3 would be a great indicator that the strategy still works out fine, and was a good choice.

Same with Applel, iPhone 7 wasn't a flop despite killing the headphone jack and reusing the design from two previous phones, it shows that they made the right call.

People who buy low end phones, tend to use whatever headphones were in the box, besides, they can use their old ones with adapter. Change tend to start from the top, so the days of headphone jack are nearing the end. It's likely that microsd cards on flagships will follow. It happened with replaceable batteries long ago too.

The much bigger miss-step Applel seemed to make was sticking with lightning instead of usb c, but even here the market accepted it.

>butt mad
The term is are blasted retarded. Mommy won't know you said a rude word. Also you need to be over 18 to post on this website.

I know you're new here but butt mad has been used quite a bit as well.

It's not like butt blasted is the only phrase we have using the word butt. We are obsessed with asses after all.
