>decide to single boot linux to stop gaming
>a month in I download steam for linux and start playing vidya again

>Linux is comfy

It sure is. And when you have a comfy setup you never have to change it (especially on distros with Debian-like release cycles).

Also, you don't have to completely quit gaming on GNU/Linux. I play Cities: Skylines, Rocket League, Minecraft and Kerbal Space Program. Not AAA titles of course but they're all great games.

This shit happened to me, suddenly the games that i least expect to have a linux version ported their games to linux suddenly
its impossible to escape now

>AAA

You can keep your goddamn cock of doody 420 and ass creed 9000. But I see games like the new Geus Ex (ghey ass sex) have native versions in Steam.

>Install linux on second hard drive
>attempt to dual boot windows from GRUB
>realise windows was installed in BIOS not EFI mode
>Never boot windows again

Not a AAA fan as well (I own zero). I just wanted inb4 no-AAA to cut off the i7 1080 RGB gaymur faggots.

Sure thing. Anyway I see sick games that I might have to upgrade for one day, like Xcom2. I play some good games on this old beast that I built it in 2008 but games are they only thing that makes it groan.

>steam
N..no thank you!

>tfw would dual boot if I had space remaining on main rig (clogged with roughly 300Gb of animu, music and pictures)
>tfw live-booting with persistance werks fine
>tfw Wine does a decent job where there is no native Linux port (e.g: Touhou games)
>tfw Linux was the red pill all along
And ever since, I couldn't go back to (((Windows))) without a valid reason

I kinda feel bad for microsoft so I installed a keylogger on my machine and e-mail them the results every month.

pic sauce

Install BeOS

Arch should be digging down under tunnel leading top.

These features come preinstalled with Windows >7

>spend your time now tinkering and playing with your OS
>your OS is now a video game

>the absolute state of Sup Forums

Installed mint yesterday, cinnamon is some comfy shit

>Steam
fuck off shill

>decide to dual boot linux just to fuck around with it
>installing anything is a pain in the ass since 90% of packages are incompatible
>need to download a separate image viewer just to change wallpaper
>window managers are buggy and visually unappealing
>updating your system has a high chance of fucking up the entire os
>still takes up as much space as wangblowns
No thanks, lmao, this fucking shit is for autists only

Nice classical analogy.

I've always said that nothing is original after Plato. Republic is one of the most influential books written.

linux is dog shit

Still have windows partition. idk why.

OP, Linux is just the kernel. The system is actually the GNU system!

It's called Linux. Gnu is just an ugly animal.

>not using linux for work
>not gaming on console

Linux is just a kernel. Same as for Android. You wouldn't call Android "Linux", right? So don't call GNU "Linux".

>what is Windows NT
Console games are overpriced.

NT is the Windows kernel. You wouldn't call Windows "NT", right?

The kernel is so good, you forgot about anything else.

>all of the above
and one step further
>bought a mac, windows/linux machine barley gets touched

p.s. still miss some things from my linux KDE setup

Go home, Stallman

Too bad, the hardware is utter shit.

Only two games I even bother playing in windows: Divinity 2 and Titanfall 2

Linux is so comfy I don't even bother booting back to windows to play anymore. Now I'm playing stuff that works in linux; turns out xenonauts has better gameplay than the new xcom games, who knew

I don't even miss windows one bit.

Try KDE

You can install other desktop environments without replacing ones you already have. You just select the version you want when you log in.

>Decide to quit gaming
So... what do you do now? What said?

Yeah

You learn a lot about how the OS works, too.

I'm now studying for midterms and writing code in vim then compiling and running it from the terminal, it's great

chess is my game no windowz

You're killing me, user.

get a PoS radeon, problem "solved" :(

PoS?
