Turns out it mostly relies on ffmpeg for basic import/export. Btw, not an actual issue, but annoying.

How'd you suppose to manipulate anything without being able to easily automate routine operations and/or batch processing? Software without full featured cli interface just makes no sense. On the other hand, gui for the full featured cli app can be easily written (see handbrake, kdenlive etc.)

Real artist doesn't batch or automate, each edit is per case fine-tuned
