I have $1625 for a gaming pc build.
r8 my pc Sup Forums.
It's ok except for headphones and speakers.
manchild :)
>RAM more expensive than a quad core CPU
When will the fucking prices drop?
Get a motorbike instead of a PC
...
Get an R1600 or higher, 1500X isn't worth it.
Ditch the headphones, speakers, dvd drive and kbm, also PSU is overkill. pour the money into a better monitor, processor or gfx card.
Use your older peripherals until you can get what the fuck you want.
Also you'd better consider this
>Get a motorbike instead of a PC
Building a PC is a short high, money could be better put to use this way.
I don't like cars or bikes.
You don't know what you're missing user.
I'm not missing anything because I don't like leaving my house.
You just need your first taste of speed and power. There's nothing like getting pushed back into your seat by a big V8 or tipping a bike into a tight corner.
You don't even need to spend a lot on a bike to have fun, 250 dirt bikes like the KLR 250 are heaps of fun and will run forever.

See
haw much does ram usually cost?

>I'm not missing anything because I don't like leaving my house.
Then you literally don't know what you're missing out on
Something I already don't like? Are you capable of reading.
Thing is you don't even have to interact with people user, you just get on your bike or in your car, blast some music, and cruise around.
I don't like leaving my house either but driving is the most enjoyable thing I get to do, and I do regret spending money on a PC I am not even present most of the time to use rather than spending it on something that would actually make a difference and give me more enjoyment.
Your call, just don't waste your money on useless peripherals now when you can spend it getting better core components and get your optional crap in the future.
Okay, fair enough. I'll change my build and focus more on components
Where do I get that shirt?
Crypto coin mining has made most everything (GPUs, RAM, etc) go up in price. About 2 years ago you could get 16GB for $60-ish, now it's triple that ($180)
>About 2 years ago you could get 16GB for $60-ish, now it's triple that ($180)
DDR3 vs DDR4 user.
Also much higher ram speeds.
I would suggest the red dragon mechanical keyboard as well. Similar price to your corsair one and if you have the mouse clearly you aren't just a corsair fanboy
No that's fucking wrong. DDR4 prices have tripled because Samsung cannot keep up with output. Since smartphones are also using DDR4, and Samsung is having issues with yields on their smaller nm, DDR4 prices have skyrocketed over the past year.
I literally bought 32GB of DDR4 for $99 offsale. That same RAM kit is now $340 right now. I sincerely believe it's Samsung price fixing again. I don't believe for a second there's a genuine supply shortage.
Get a Ryzen 1600, not much more but will make gaming much better.
Mx40s are better, or get something else.
Speakers are shit
try this instead

Fucking lel
Get this
Just get a 250GB SSD. There you go, a gaming setup that it's worth the money
OP here.
I fixed it and I saved myself some money. Also, I don't need a 144hz monitor or a 1070. I'm just aiming for 60 fps high settings at 1080p.
I want to make the keyboard blue though. I saw a red dragon keyboard on Amazon but it only came in all red or white.
Agreed. I don't need the speakers.
Don't get a Seagate hdd.
get a second-hand 1440p monitor
>Corsair garbage
>1500X
>1060
>Seagate HDD
>DVD drive
>$1,600
It's good if you like hot garbage.

Intel 8400, GTX 1070, 960 EVO, and if you want peripherals, better KB than the K55, would've went TKL, but whatever. I would actually suggest getting a used 980Ti over the 1070, but if you want new shit, might as well get the 1070.

get the 1600 instead of the 1500X and OC it to whatever you want with a couple settings its dead easy and a much better in the long run, rest seems fine.
have you not seen the controversy of those 8400's? Intel isn't able to guarantee that they will hit 3.8ghz turbo, and they are locked anyway so you can't really fix it, you could be stuck with a chip thats locked at 3.4ghz or worse, terrible investment.
you spend the money to enjoy the usage of the pc not the building of it you mongoloid
Could have gone up the 2k mark
I'm expecting another price fixing scandal to pop up any day now.
It's ridiculous. DDR3 is expensive now too.
relatively solid low-end PC. I'd give it a 7/10
comments:
- 1060 stood out to me, are you mining crypto or something? get a real GPU
- its 2017 don't buy spinning parts, you could get a TB ssd for not much more
- youre paying a shitload for ram. DDR4 compat supports up to 512 on a 4 slot mobo. don't waste money on something you're gonna swap out in a year
- I'd prefer a real KB over that thing. 50 bucks is too much for something so shit, just take the plunge and invest in a mech
500gb ssd is the only way to go you fucking faggot.
do yourself a favor and wait till you can get the 1600x, you won't regret.
buy 16 thinkpads
>it's an Over 25 in a t-shirt
Don't get a 32" 1080 screen, it'll look like shit.
>1500cuckx
>not 1600
Kill yourself now.
>Windows
How can you be so retarded?
/pcbg/
>Quadcore over hexacore
Ryzen 5 1600 should only cost 30-40 more
Why do you need speakers and headphones?
No. I got 16 GB for 45 € brand new last year. I regret that I only bought one kit. DDR4-2400 Crucial, the same one costs over 120 € now.
This but with a Ryzen 1600. Threads and unlocked for manual OC.
>20bux fan
I'm being jestered at?
Go for 8 gb, 16 gb is a meme for people that don't know how to close programs
But 32gb gets you the most fps's right?
and ryzen 1600, comes with a cooler good enough to overclock for 1600x performance
Incorrect
... no
3000+ mhz memory speed gets that
k
Then ponder this friendo, 32 X 3000+
Bet you feel pretty stupid now.
