Best torrent clients for linux?

qBittorrent
inb4 hur dur stalltorrent
rTorrent
Deluge

there you go. Those three are the best, anything other than that is just retarded.

rtorrent

What are the differences between them other than appearance?

transmission

Tixati

aria2c
btpd
everything else: slow bloated garbage. Transmission is a bit better in that category
it really is qStalledMeme tho.

Yes it is, doesn't it run on top of Java or some shit?

Deluge is free software. No need to search any further

Nothing they all pretty much work the same.

>doesn't it run on top of Java or some shit?
no

Why don't you guys just use transmission? Comes pre installed, does what it has to. Why use anything else? Serious question

I don't think anyone has written any torrent clients for the Linux kernel.
Would be an interesting module, but I think a torrent client run as a daemon makes way more sense.

>using the meme OS
This is why this "programming" group at my school is full of faggots

Transmission. It's simple at first but it can be used as a daemon and has some hidden features in the config file. Flexget + transmission is great.

I used to use Transmission.
Worked good for a little over 10,000 active torrents.
I think it was just my SSD's limiting me.
I think rtorrent gained a lot of popularity for the simple but powerful web interfaces for it.
I believe Deluge, Transmission, and rTorrent all support running as a daemon and rpc so it really doesn't matter.

GNU/Linux isn't a meme. It's the dominant server OS and pretty much the best OS out there right now. You're the real faggot.

What would you use to host torrents? I feel like Windows Server (any version) is kind of wasted on something as simple as a seed box.

If you use binbows why even bother opening the thread? Fuck off please

Transmission for the win

God, I love qbit's search function and web front end.
