Avira seems very basic to me.

GNU Linux

>muh linux is “virus-free”

>using malware to protect your kernel-mode malware against further malware
At least install ClamWin

A shit ton less viruses than windows, that's for sure

Common Sense Antivirus Premium Edition

You are literally giving a third party program administrator access to your computer with hooks for basically everything your operating system can deal with. But, yeah, sure, antiviruses are essential! Nevermind that your operating system is inherently malware.

Don't download exe from pornhub

We have this thread every singe day you retarded cumguzzling gaymer crossie.

>pic related
and GNU/Linux they go hand in hand really.

I prefer to have a Russian botnet instead of an American one.

But you're installing Kaspersky on windows.
You are part of 2 bonnets now.

Is clamwin good? The page doesn't even list w10 as a suported OS. Which makes me think they don't update the virus database that often. Am I wrong?

Windows Defender + Common Sense 2017 + uBlock Origin on your browser.

Google "eset keys", its basically free

>Defender
>Common Sense
Pick one.

>15+ year with Windows
>not a single virus
hmm

malwarebytes should do the job.

t. a guy who assisted library computers for free

Friendly reminder that Kaspersky led the charge to reverse engineer stuxnet. Fuck them.

Talking only about standard anti-virus:

All of the major ones are effectively the same in terms of detection. They participate in the same tests, collaborate with the same testing labs, and tend to communicate with each other about emerging threats.

So, pick one that has more features, didn’t piss you off once, or has the prettiest color.

>don’t update the database that often

Major av companies intake new samples on the order of tens of thousand per day.

Clam isn’t much more than a free engine. If there isn’t a research organization updating daily, there isn’t much point.

uBlock is the best thing

install Gentoo

Any AV recommendations for an Amazon Fire tablet?

registry cleaner is pretty good

>Is clamwin good?
no its absolutely horrible
I don't think it even does real time protection

How is Avira nowadays?

Windows Defender + Malwarebytes Free

Or Kaspersky, BitDefender or ESET if you think you can only be safe when you spend money on av software.

Common Sense 2018 Preview

go to registry and set random values from 1 to 0 or opposite, restart your "friends" computer
