What is your Xiaomi phone?

How long has it lasted?

Any problems?

Same here.
Just don't handle your phone like a moron OP.

Redmi note 3 pro
9 months
None, installed lineageos like 2 months ago, highly recommended

>plastic border surrounding the screen has about 10 cracks (its only a 1mm thick border)

the phone arrived with about 4 cracks in the micro plastic border

looks like xiaomi uses cheap ass plastics. but cant complain since i paid 200gbp for a 7inch snapdragon 650 phone

If he can handle it till the end of the next year with no problems, I'm going to get the MI7

Redmi Note 4 Prime Global (4GB RAM, 64GB)

~10 days

yet to figure out how to successfully root this specific model (bootloader already unlocked) to install an smb server and do other sperg shit

chink'd

>Redmi note 3
>Over a year
>Power button is mushy, lower volume button barely works, shit ton of scratches on the back

I've abused the shit out of this phone so honestly I'm really happy with how it lasted. The biggest problem is the lower volume button but that literally just started happening a few days ago. I think I'll buy the redmi note 5 when it comes out.

>redmeme note 3 pro
>Have been using it for more than year.
>Have had some pretty bad drops.
>Just a whole load of dents and scratches. Cover solves everything

You should get the Redmi A1.
Stock Android so no real need to flash a custom ROM.
Google has promised updates for the next 2 years

>Redmeme note 3 pro (SD 650 version)

It werks, bought it July 2016. My retard friend dropped it once so I have a small dent at the top of the phone but otherwise it's in good condition. Screen looks good, barely has any fine scratches and I never used a screen protector.
I have lineageos installed because I don't like MIUI. Works pretty good. Will probably switch to iPhone at some point but the phone is excellent for the £160 I paid for it.

Mi5s plus
About a year
Works just as new. Although I am on lineageos.

it must be because i dropped it a few times

mi4 - Lasted almost 2 years, still works but it has a faulty motherboard so it will randomly reboot sometimes.
Sometimes its once a week, but sometimes it happened several times per day.

mi5 - 4 months and no problems so far.

Miui(eu)+nova master race.

Redmi 2
3 Years almost
No official updates after Lolipop. Uses Lineage OS instead.

Redmi Note 3 - cosmetic damage to the side of the phone's frame, slightly scratched screen, power button not perfectly snappy anymore.

Redmi 1s - survived in essentially perfect condition except for tiny screen scratches that weren't visible until I gave it away this year, was in use for about 2 years. [Didn't have enough RAM and processing power for my current usage.]

My RN3P just refuses to break. I must have dropped it at least a dozen times by now.

Redmi 3
1 year 5 months

cosmetic damage on metal back cover
broken charger cable
dropped twice from pants pocket, still works.

Had a redmi 3 pro, thing died in half a year. The battery (I'm assuming) got really hot in my pocket and then it refused to turn back on after that. No idea what caused it but I'm glad it didn't explode and burn me.

mi5

USB-C port is loose so the cable falls off if you look at it wrong or breathe on it

Other than that I'm pretty happy with it desu. Replaced the glass back with one of those fake wood ones and it stopped sliding everywhere

Why are there so many fucking models?

Xiaomi phones don't support 4G on any US networks as far as I know, and they don't support Verizon

What's Lineage OS like on the Mi6?
as far as I understand, it's a non-official one because Xiaomi still hasn't released something yet so the devs of this Lineage OS build had to rip whatever they needed from the official ROM from Xiaomi

mi4i
Music randomly turned off regardless the player (less with phonograph)
Shit camera

Will lineage OS make it better?

Yep, I am using unofficial port from XDA forums. Every feature, apart from auto-updater, works absolutely fine. I don't how they ported it, but AFAIK they took a kernel from MIUI, and added lineage userspace.

what about google pay or are you using it without gapps?

I prefer no googly dick up my ass thank you

Looking at the Redmi Note 4 Global (4/64GB) as an upgrade to my Nexus 5 (finally) on T-Mobile in the US.

It looks like a great option, but there has to be a catch, right?

`Redmi` means crappy camera and components. If you are a poorfag, it's ok.

If not, then get `Mi` phone, line mi5 or mi6

Xiami Mi Max

Very, very large phone. VERY large phone.

>Redmi Note 3 Pro
>10 months

Can you carry it in a pocket comfortably? Can you use it with one hand comfortably?

>mi5 or mi6
No T-Mobile LTE

I am a big guy (four yew), so I have big hands and I wear large pants with large pockets. Most of the time, it is ok, but on some jeans with normal pocket, the phone does not fit.

It is 6.5 inches, so it is closer to tablet size than phone. I do not recommend it for smaller people, or even normal-sized people unless they test it in person.

Not the guy you asked, but I've had the same phone for 10 months. Fit's in some pockets easily, but using one handed is really hard. Love it tho, it's fast and lasts way longer then any phone i've used before cause it's 5000mah.

Mi pad, 1st gen, about 3 years now werks perfectly with panjeet os

Redmi Note 3 pro, and it has last for a year and a month....

Looks like the majority of Sup Forums is happy with their xiaomi devices.

Can wait to see the day that xiaomi wipe out Samsung, LG and huawei, all these meaningless big brands that literally did nothing to improve their products.

> rn4x
> one week

I changed the firmware on the first day, lol, thats all. Also, there is 4g in Russia, I'm happy.

I'm , I've got Kate running official lineages. I've been wanting to upgrade to android 8 for some weeks now and given how well lineage served me, I thought about unofficial lineage 15.
>Use nitrogen os oreo because all the other roms suck as pretty much.
What should I opt for then?

Note 4x
>Two android versions behind

I have a new phone but I had redmi 3 for like a year and it was fantastic for the price.
had dents on the corner because of drops but nothing else
I broke the screen after a year and replaced it with a Samsung Galaxy

>Redmi Note 4X
>have it for ~6 months
>Camera is (and was) pretty shit, but literally no issues with it whatsoever. Still looks like new and 2 days battery life.

Redmi 3s
Since 2016 April.
Literally not a problem since I got the bootloader unlocked and rooted it.

Some scratches because of the use

Redmi 3 Pro (4gb/32gb)
1 year dead / took a dunk in the toilet
Otherwise working perfectly beforehand

>Mi5S Plus
>almost year so far
>It's on Xiaomi's high end range and sill doesn't have any gorilla glass

I've been using a RN3P with MIUI for 1 year and a half, never had an issue with it. As I'm still on Marshmellow, I'm looking for a custom rom to replace my current Xiaomi.eu one, but it seems like none of them have the power off alarm feature...

Mi 5.
6 months.
Has some minor quirks, but I'm very happy overall.

Probably the best mid-to-high tier Xiaomi phone.

only 1

Redmi 3. Have it since may last year. The front camera doesn't work since 2 months after I got it.

well they need to officially start selling in the West for them to have any real impact on other brands
they're also pulling some of the same gimmicks that other brands are doing like no headphone jack on flagships

>`Redmi` means crappy camera and components
Would the camera still not be better than the Nexus 5? And what components are you talking about? Anyways, I have a DSLR for photos. I only ever use my phone camera for shitposting

>What is your Xiaomi phone?

Stutter in miui based on 7.0.

>Redmi 1S

At least that part is replaceable.

Redmi Note 3 Pro
DOA but used it anyway for 2 months, HW fault causing random reboot. Claimed warranty

Redmi 4A
5 months, got it to use while warranty replaced the first one.
No problems except those related to low power processor

Redmi Note 4 MTK
2 months, came as replacement for the RN3P. Doesn't have 800 band so I'm using it as a tablet replacement at home and VR porn
Has about 5 dead pixels that stay white.

Redmi Note 4X MTK
1 week, replacement for the RN3P. Yes, the warranty provider sent two phones, no, I'm not sending one of them back to China.
Don't know if it has problems, too early and I just updated to global stable ROM. Will sell of gift to family

if I ever fuck a japanese bitch and she starts to moan like in the JAVs I'm gonna spank her.

had the same problem with my mi4 until it died one day. switched to mi5s+ nearly a year ago

This was what happened to me in my first Xiaomi

>Mi 5 64 GB
>glass protector is a little cracked (I'm going to change it)
>some scratches on the metal body due to falling
>6 months

I don't like using a case and the glass back is slippery as fuck. Overall really enjoying it, even more now that I'm on LineageOS.

Redmi Note 2.
Bought in 2015.

Volume button and power button are not as snappy as they used to.

Been dropped many times, sometimes falls flat on the screen. Few scratches here and there. Otherwise there has not been many problems. Thinking of buying A1 next.

Redmi 4 Prime, 5" man-let phone. About half a year, bought it primarily because of the lack of big jacket pockets in the summer. No problems with it but I've mostly been using it with a wallet case.

That's .. a bit odd, I think the camera on mine is very good in everything but every low-light conditions. Not sure it's abandoned either, they don't seem to be selling them anymore but I did get an update not that long ago.

mi max

running lineageos. i run into a few errors that i didnt have with miui, but it beats having a botnet

RedMi 3s.
Around 7 months.
MiCloud and the unlocking shit is retarded. Other than that it's pretty ok.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 camera would be better than LG Nexus 5 camera.

Which is better Helio X20 or Snapdragon 435, I don't know which one to get.

Usually if given the choice between Snapdragon and anything else it's recommended to go with SD because of greater ROM support.

mi4c

Pretty great for its price, but MIUI ram management is bad

>mi5
>proximity sensor stopped working and phone is unusable after every call because the screen wont turn back on

Redememe note 4, 1 month, no problems, just want to get a different screen protector.

Unfortunately for Kate Oreo ROMs are very buggy. As in the the fingerprint and stuff doesn't work. Use nitrogen nougat ROM for now

Uh, ok I'll wait another month or so.
I've never actually used nitrogen os, lineage has been my only rom after MIUI. I'm quite happy with the official nougat build but I'm open to other roms. What's good in nitrogen? Why do you keep suggesting it?

>Redmi 3 Pro
>little over 1 year and counting
>paint scratched off on power and volume buttons

It also had problems recognizing the SIM card right out of the box, I didn't want to send it back and wasn't even sure the card itself was the actual problem, so I fixed by sticking in a folded piece of paper to press the card against the contacts.

All in all I'm pretty satisfied, considering the price.

The developer is very active and friendly. The ROM is super smooth like butter smooth and the battery back up is amazeballs. It's very close to stock just a few tweaks and has OMS support. Lineage ROM does the job but nitrogen does it the way it's super to be done.
Its updated very frequently.

SD 435 any day. Mediatek sucks balls. No ROM support

Snapdragon

More ROM support + Band frequencies
