7-1 ?

Maybe its just a bias in favor of indian competitors

>another 4 years have passed

Watching Sochi opening ceremony with Sup Forums bros was comfy. It almost felt as if I had friends

I wonder if it will be any good.
How can we even compete with the Japanese man-made meteor shower?

Should be able to find some nice rare flags in Sup Forums once the games start.

1) Olympics chooses 3rd world nation for the "honor" of hosting the games.
2) 3rd world nation does everything it can to get ready.
3) People mock 3rd world nation for being 3rd world.

This is stupid and has to stop. If Brazil is good enough to be the home of tens of millions (hundreds of millions?) of people, its good enough to host a few athletes for a couple of weeks. If they don't like it they can stay home.

Sick of this crap happening, the same narrative happened with Russia and China too. "Boo its so dirty". Well maybe we ought to donate more money to Brazil so that way its own citizens aren't living by the dirt.

brazilian monkey made meteor shower

>muslim country like UK
You're one to talk.

Brazil is not 3rd world but k.
Also Rio has been a major touristic city for several decades so they are used to foreigners, dunno why people are pretending like it's going to be some disaster of unprecedented proportions.

Dumb niggers better have banned vuvuzelas this time around

Journasluts need to earn their bread
Godspeed, BRos

Sincerely good luck to Rio. The world is very scary right now and we need a bit of joy and peace to show humanity hasn't lost the way.

Why does it have to be so late? I'm tired from work :(

I thought Brazil is 3rd world by every definition I could find online. Relatively poorer nation in the "global south".

People just like to bash on the dirty brown people. Its ridiculous.

it's 2 years breh

Looking foward to this

it was cringeworthy, you asshat - hundreds of billions of cash burning out in a brisk moment of television glory and in next years - cutting down the healthcare and pension funds drastically.

This was the dumbest "royal feast during the plague", non-sensical moment in modern history of russland

>will never beat the army of marry popins'es attacking giant voldemort from the sky in my book.

Yes I meant 4 since last summer ones

who /comfy/ here?

Reminder that other 3rd world nation has already hosted the games and did not make a mess about them

>7th largest economy by PPP
>diverse industries, making Brazil sturdy against the whims of the global economy
>by far the largest economy in latin america
>one of the fastest growing major economies from 2000 to 2012
>relatively poorer

The current recession sucks but this "Brazil is poor" meme needs to die.

This is going to be some shit worth seeing. Pools contaminated, muggings during the marathons, athletes' safety is as sturdy as the construction of the housing and stadiums.

Your country's problems have to do with degenerate people and IQ, not the economy. Your problems can't be fixed by more money. Your homicide rate can't be fixed that easily. Now fuck off. There are far poorer countries who don't have so much fucking crime, violence, and shitty reputation for visitors.

Hope they like zika

Macro economics and poverty of the population are not the same thing

>by every definition I could find online.

Third World is a meaningless term that has lost all relevance.

I hope everything works fine and there is no islamic terrorist attack

SEND ALL YOUR ENERGY TO BRASIL
SO NOTHING GOES SPECTACULARLY WRONG

Are we supposed to use
>Developed nations
>Recently industrialized nations
>Developing nations
>??

All Latin American countries are third world by definition. You might be well off among them but that doesn't make you first world

I was trying to defend Brazil. If you want to say Brazil is first world then yeah, having dirty water etc. is a big issue.

Sure you have the shit regions like the north but people aren't literally starving to death and there are still millions upon millions of people living in huge metropolises.

Yes, remember having to use them in Geography as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd were seen as derogatory.

In this right, Brazil is a recently industrialised country.

Oh, Sochi opening ceremony was really amazing. Proud of it, 2bh.

Please funland get a lot of medals!!

That is the case here too, but still we are not a developed nation both Mexico and Brazil are this

I got the popcorn and beer ready for the occurrences tonight.

Apparently it will include Nikkei culture.

>This is tonight's make up! [...] Almost an asian.

th largest economy by PPP

>PPP

>>diverse industries, making Brazil sturdy against the whims of the global economy

>price of commodities plummet and Brazil collapses

>>one of the fastest growing major economies from 2000 to 2012

>what is commodities boom

Lots of bundas, can't go wrong

Favelados will enter the stadium and mug dancers and rob them, people will applaude thinking it is part of the show about brazilian culture

Because Mexico is better than Brazil. And i say that as someone that doesn't like Mexico or Mexicans

Who thought starting the ceremony at 2:00 is a good idea

It will be at 20:00 you dummy.

crowding to death in bundas

don't mind him - he thinks Earth is a blin

no it's at midnight

We did, if your olympics are worse than spain you automatically give up
1. being a country
2. being white
3. being a nation
4. being civilized

everything is a blin))

Rio de Janeiro is a fucking mess.
Brazil has all this bad reputation because of Rio de Janeiro, it's Favelas, Carnival, Prostituition and Crimes.

The true brazilian/european culture and the southern infrastructure are been forgotten because of those degenerates.

Hope everyone dies in this city.
We should start the ethnicity clean on Rio.

>when the fucking Olympic O doesn't open

Did you ever see Rio?

youtube.com/watch?v=fVS-a5oeSMA

Its a good movie about Rio de Janeiro and a parrot that gets captured from his home in Brazil and taken to USA...then adventures back home.

Brazil doesn't have a bad reputation in the USA. Its seen as a place that has a lot of fun and no racism because everyone there is so mixed.

I thought that what fucked up Rio was moving the capital from there to Brazilia.

Argentines visit Brazil a lot, but mainly Camboriu and Florianopolis, or some hotels on the beach in the North East, around Recife or Fortaleza.
But very few visit Rio or Sao Paulo in comparison, when you take into account they are the most important part of the country.

True, most Americans think of big bunda and beaches. If you get foreign perceptions of your country solely from Sup Forums, you're going to have a skewed view.

Bring Zika virus to the world, i'm a guy, so i shouldn't be worried right?

I really liked the music, is the rest good too?

It's about a Brazilian parrot that gets kidnapped to the favela

Really made us think.

Its decent, its not a very deep movie or anything, but a fun kids cartoon that my niece really is obsessed with. 7.0 on imdb, 72% on rotten tomatoes, lot of fun music and kind of shows how American culture portrays Brazil.

Growing up I always heard Brazil should be our model to end racism because there race is a spectrum.

T-this is the first time someone ever complimented Brazil on Sup Forums.

>Yes, remember having to use them in Geography as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd were seen as derogatory.
that's irrelevant they don't actually mean anything so using the other terms makes sense

I will post some pictures from Rio's centre.

To be honest, Rio has shitty infranstructe even for brazilian standards.

>looks like an indian monk
>i'm so japanese xD
As an actual nikkei I'm triggered.

>Rio has shitty infranstructe even for brazilian standards.
This couldn't be more far from the truth.

"Further" is better I think.

Stop spamming these pictures we know Rio is full of garbage, child prostitutes and favelas.

I walk near there almost every day. It's a shame about the piss smell.
Regarding the infrastructure, I'm glad i live and work downtown. I have a lot of friends from the baixada, the trips to and from work sound like a job in itself.

>child prostitutes
I wish

Opening ceremony director (Fernando Meirelles, from City of God) is going to Maracana by subway.
Last time I went there it was okay tho and my nose is good, excellent place to relax then going to a lunch in Colombo.

I compliment Brazil all the time irmao, The whole world thinks your women, friendliness and laid back beach culture are great, even if we know you have lots of problems,

At my school there was a dude that came every year collecting to help support his orphanages that specialised in helping previously abused children. He always talked about how mothers on the streets of Brazil pimp their kids to older men for money.

Where can I watch this without having to go all the way across my room to turn on the TV?

Not in Rio. This is probably from Northeast.

There are a lot homeless people sleeping around there. When there's an opening for a new play the municipal police sends them somewhere else and they wash the place.
Not condemning or approving this state of affairs, but the smell does suck.

>There are a lot homeless people sleeping around there.
That is what I thought.
Do you really live in downtown? I was thinking about settling there if everything turns right with the revitalization, I'm from Tijuca. I love the mood, the old buildings... and can't help but feel "nostalgic" when walking there, suddenly I'm back to old Rio.

why is he white with blue eyes?

Why not?

globoesporte.globo.com/olimpiadas/cobertura-cerimonia-de-abertura.html

Brazilian stream but you need to create an account.

I was actually thinking of moving to Tijuca. I live near Praca da Cruz Vermelha, right besides Lapa. It's neat, you have a lot restaurants and it's overall really convenient and cheap compared to other places of Rio.
You do have some crackheads and homeless people, and the biggest problem, Velox monopoly on the whole area. Been living there for over a year, still no internet connection.
Aiming for Tijuca, but i don't think i have the cash. And it really doesn't have the charm downtown has imo.
Also shitty pic, but i met this dude on Campo de Santana the other day. The famous wizard cop.

Horrible, horrible stream, do not dare sharing this again.

that's the only one I know :(

So how likely is a large-scale terrorist attack?

Because 40% of Brazil is white
