Well?

Well?

blame the jews

1Gbps is common in 1st world countries

The speed of light won't change anytime soon, so latency will exist. However, download and upload volume per second definitely did get better. I easily torrent at 7 MB down while paying peanuts.

ISDN is the key

ISP profits are more important

Fuck yeah, lightning fast dual 128k ISDN

It's up to 256mbps down, here in the states, although, the majority of the internet is 50-100mbps down.

>mfw still stuck with 5 down 1 up

its probably gonna take like 30s to make this post

Turns out communism doesn't work

We gave big tax breaks to internet companies and they did nothing.

...

I probably used to get that 10 years ago.

How bad is it

t. burger

other burger here

its great

dude even comcast offers gigabit here in fl... it's pretty common down south

Is dis your university? :DD

Verizon gigabit fiber came to my neighborhood

THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE 300/30

Only theives of IP need anything faster.

Just as planned

500kB/s here

You'll hit that data cap real fast with those speeds.

I am.

I have it, CenturyLink Fiber, honestly it's "big whoop", 99% of anything I do is pretty much the same as it was at 50/25 Mb, 1Gb is a huge meh.

We are browsing the internet at incredible speeds. Web devs saw the speed increase and said "Oh, hey, now it doesn't matter if we send ten MB of javascript with every page! I'm sure the marketing department will have great ideas on how to use this!"

we can deploy amazing speeds to homes, many cable modems are 40gbps capable, but the provider can basically only provision to sell two or three 40gbps package per county due to the bottlenecks

packets gotta route, bro
it'd be one thing if the site you were trying to contact was next door, but it isn't

>scotland

5 mbits down, 1 mbits up

for $30/month, cant really be beat. dont need any more.
