syncthing

Mega.nz

mega

google
google
google

I use dropbox for applications/userscript backups and for direct downloads

Everyone uses Google Drive here but I want to remove myself from the google botnet. I want to setup my own cloud. Is Nextcloud good?

I use google drive. The only thing I hate is how they haven't made a linux client and the only one that's free and doesn't require me manually pulling and pushing comes with gnome so I bought insync. Been a happy camper having access to all my files anywhere I go.

google is shit

I use OneDrive

Why not use Yandex Disk?
It comes with command line client for Linux.

this and drive

because yandex is worse botnet than google

I use drive, its better to participate in a one botnet than multiple

>botnet sucks
>gonna use more botnet

Mega sucks dick for large files. Wants users to use their botnet extension if on a non-botnet browser like Firefox. Not even user agent spoofing works either!

Cool kids run their own cloud server with an in-house NAS, tard.

Syncthing + a home nas is the only correct answer

iCloud Drive is comfy

Cool.
All those hipster cloud services should Provide Command line clients for Linux

>Use Goolag Drive
>Put text document containing words such as "nazi" or "white man"
>Google algorithm scans it and tags it as Hate Speech or Illegal Opinion
>Google locks your document and bans your account for being danger to society.

I'm waiting for OwnCloud to deliver github.com/owncloud/core/issues/16162#issuecomment-340267179
Nextcloud is waiting for OwnCloud to do its move
Once it's done, any average normie who ain't afraid of GNU can get xer own "cloud" on any personal cheap VPS

Proprietary
Bullshit

yes, Nextcloud is good. Easy to install as well, just unzip into a directory, point your webserver to it, and that's it.

DropBox/OneDrive with cryptomator.

Drive + Cryptomator

Easy enough, actually secure (for now)

I use google, 100gb for something ridiclous like 1.50 a month, can't complain

I use Google Drive + Photos but I've been having a problem.

I enabled the Google Photos folder in Google Drive, but only pictures I've uploaded to Photos since enabling the feature are present. Nothing from years prior. I've already tried disabling and reenabling the folder and deleting the old one to no avail. I don't want to reupload everything since I only have the copies as they are on Google Photos and since I'm using the "high quality" upload feature, reuploading would introduce another generation of lossy degradation.

pls

Everything synced over one sweet terabyte.

>Dropbox

owncloud on a server I control.

user this it gets.

I also have it set up at a machine at work with it so if my machines at home die in a fire everything is still safe at work.

how do i download megadownloader

Wish my upload speed wasn't so shit so that I can use this.

In order of best to worst:
Nextcloud
Owncloud
Syncthing
Any other p2p tool
Some ghetto-ass custom setup
Drive/dropbox/azure with local encryption so your data is never put in the botnet cleartext

Don't do anything else. Don't put your shit on commercial hosts without encrypting it first.

Isn't Mega owned by Chinks now? Even Kim said not to trust that shit anymore

PCloud. If you use anything else just neck yourself

Syncthing is the only good one.
my tinc network shares one folder this way.

I keep my sensitive information gpg encrypted as well because one of my servers Is a vps.

Nothing is worse than google. Google is youtube, gmail, drive, google play, etc. They are all connected and create 1 profile about you. Google is also US and NSA. With Yandex, uncle Sam gets jack shit.

I personally use a paid private storage cloud host to store around 15GB (all project files, critical info, etc.) that costs like 0.02$ per GB per month. I use duplicity software (e.g. on win10 bash) to do quick incremental and _encrypted_ backups. I think it supports dropbox and some others.

If you care about your data, you must have an offsite backup.

Are there any non-retarded (so not syncthing) open source p2p tools?

Nope. They all suck in one way or another.

I currently use resilio sync and it does everything I need it to do, my only complaint is that it has this typical freeware (((Pro))) shit in the UI. Thankfully, it's courteous enough to run as a service with web UI so I never even have to be reminded of its existence unless I need to add or remove a folder, but I'd prefer something that doesn't remind me that I'm a poorfag when I use its UI.

Syncthing on a VPS or with friends (trade hard drive space, backup their data and they back up yours). Basically free and you can get much more data backed up this way.

Sup Forums never ceases to amaze me with their lack of technical skills... Does anyone even know what rsync is anymore?

>What do cool kids use these days?
They set up a home server.

Just encrypt your files before uploading
Problem solved
You get free storage they get nothing profitable in return
