I...I'm so conflicted

I...I'm so conflicted.

1. Intel realizes its GPUs are shit
- Everyone already knew this
2. Intel's patent license with NVDA expired and they're asking a lot for a renewal
3. Oh look it's AMD, they do semi-custom chips too
4. Hire AMD's SC division to create a chip for them,
5. Buy said chip
6. Stick discrete GPU on a package
7. Use glue to add in a HBM2 stack to the GPU
8. Do some fancy firmware power management so the GPU doesn't do its own platform power management
9. Release a 1060 competitor with a HQ 4 core mobile KBL CPU in a far smaller package with lower power draw
10. Sell
11. [Nvidiot tears intensifies]

translating for you

>intel pretends to scam amd AGAIN for another decade free ride

How will they even cool this in a laptop?

This would be fucking sweet. But I have a feeling they wont get to GTX 1060 performance anytime soon.

The best they can.

Imagine. It's now team green vs team purple...

AMD sucks tho so?

...

Oh, fucking nice.
I wonder the TDP of the entire thing, 70W?

laptops dont need cooling, Apple manages without by using the metal aluminum unibody to act as a heatsink. but I guess that's why their macbooks are so expensive so it might not be a good idea for the mainstream.

>Sup Forums actually projects its retarded brand loyalties this hard.
fuck me, is there anyone else here who has an ACTUAL tech job?

>Mobile chip
>70w

Try 35 at best.
Assuming Intel stick to TDP not meaning "average" thermal output

You know it's two chips in there? They have to account for both.

Kabylake-H alone is 30W I think, there's no way this is under 60W

RR runs in at 15-35w TDP envelope, that's an APU (CPU+GPU) running, within 35w. Not each, that's the unit.
A mobile chip at 70w would literallly burn your fucking leg

What the fuck do you think a gtx 1060 + 30W CPU pulls? And does that burn your leg?

Thanks doc...

Jesus fucking christ. Kid. Go back to Sup Forums
This is a fucking mobile chip. A chip running at 70 w would never be accepted by any OEM, no matter how much Intel paid them.
A mobile chip with 40w TDP is going to be looking at 85*C+ at most times.
RR R7 2700U runs in at 25w TDP. That's GPU, and CPU.

This unit WILL NOT run at 70w TDP, that's insane for a laptop

>that's insane
>meanwhile 130W 1070/1080's go into laptops

>Comparing a 2" thick laptop to what will be an ultrabook

>appleltards actually believe this

apple's """""""SOLUTION""""""" to cool CPUs is underclocking the living fuck out of them.

>kabylake-H chips go into ultrabooks

Are you retarded

>uses c
fucking stupid casual dick head, use a proper system c is for cold and f is for hot.

no lmao do you actually work in tech?

Finally! When nVidia got backstabbed by intel back in the late 2000s I cried for the future of mobile GPUs. They got this shitty (((solution))) called Optimus instead. This is really a step forward for mobile GPUs
