My boss that i assume hates me, wants me to make excel sheet that allows to search for specific set of records. Lets say we have sheet with 4 tabs.
Each tab has people from different cities.
CityA, CityB, CityC, CityD
In those cities are people who do certain type of activity. In CityA we have Smith who is Biking and Kowalsky who is Hiking
In City B we have Shultz that is Crafting and Mcmilen that is Biking and so on
Let's say i want to find all biking people, where are they from and other things that'd be specified in each tab. How can i do that?
I can pay in my micropenis photos if anyone interested, or by not sending photos for others. That's really important for me, anons please help me out ;_;

I don't use proprietary software, so when I need to parse excel files I use Python + pandas.
Either write a function in VBA (literally has basic in the name) or use VLOOKUP.
This will take you an hour, at most.

They don't. As i said, they're only because law is forcing them to be. Also they do other work, but every decision is made by boss, and she is only one who decides about literally EVERYTHING. I'd happly change job, but in my small city job market is nonexistent. Also don't teach me how does company that i work for work, when you literally have no idea.

This is actually trivial.
First of all you need all sheets to have the same data format, so the same columns and same order in each sheet. Then you consolidate all sheets into one. If you can do it by hand then go ahead, otherwise find VBA macro that will do it for you. Google how to. VBA consolidate sheets or something like that.
Create pivot table that goes over your consolidated data and lists all relevant data depending on filtered field (activity). Add slicer to allow people to change filter dynamically without going into pivot settings.
I probably skipped some things but just look up stuff I wrote about on google.

Create a new tab with the amalgamated city a-d data on it, filter that one. Better still hide the tab and pretend you did something clever.

How many records per city? Almost certain you should be using a database. Large spreadsheets often run like shit. Call your boss a fucking noob and chop up an access table.
