Nobody anywhere can trust any cloud provider that uses Intel chips now, since anybody can get direct ME access and just ciphon data all they want undetectable by the OS. Intel will have to disable ME on every installed device and grovel to non US customers on how they let the NSA put a backdoor in their hardware.

Qualcomm's Centriq 2400 has 48 ARMv8-cores that run on 2,6ghz, using a lower performamce per watt compared to intel xeons cpu's. Of course it's not a cpu for a desktop application but imagine if nvidia and qualcomm team up to create a pc that works with the arm-architecture.
