The food is incredible, there are interesting cultures, the languages are beautiful, and it's surprisingly easy to get a gf. I thought it was only SE Asian gold diggers who were into foreigners, but even in developed Asian countries, it's not so hard to make friends or go on a date.
Even if Asia isn't your cup of tea, why not travel abroad to a place with a vastly different culture? It will open your eyes. I especially recommend it to fellow Ameribros. Too many Americans don't even visit Canada or Mexico, let alone Europe, Asia, Africa... it's not a meme. Travel really does enrich you in many ways.
If I went on this trip years ago, my life would have turned out very differently. This is my biggest regret, by far.

Just travelled to Finland as an exchange student, stayed there for 7 months and returned less than two weeks ago. I never really gave a single fuck about Finland and the last few years I didn't come to imageboards that much so I didn't know about the dank memes.
