I think the American anthem is terrible, which is a shame considering the great selection of "unofficial" anthems they have. Even the Dixie songs are better.

Our anthem is not very good. Its hard to sing and doesn't really have very good words. There's other patriotic songs that we commonly sing that would be much better, but we're stuck with tradition.
Also, our patriotic songs are always ruined by shit celebrities singing agonizingly sugary versions of them instead of dignified renditions with a good brass band.

American anthem is not good but it's not bad either. Not even close to "terrible" (f.ex: Somalian anthem). But not close either to "good tier" (f.ex Russian anthem)
