Picked up the f8192 from the watchmaker today. Was unable to fix the date wheel getting stuck on 12 so will need to order a nos date wheel - the date wheel is plastic so not surprised. No charge at least for an incomplete repair.

From memory it's due to the battery being used. They can only survive so many charge cycles. I thought it was 5 because it was half the time it takes before you need to replace the capacitor in a citizen.

Ironically it will be the LVMH Group bringing that hope to bear first with the their new silicon oscillator movement. Apparently they plan to put it into production across Zenith, Hublot and even Tag Heueur, which is hilarious when you think about it.
