I live near a school and the kids that walk by are all dressed like in the ad. It is cold here, so that might be a factor, but there is nothing unusual about this.
Some girls have longer hair, but it is longer than what boys have. If you want curls, having longer hair than that is not that pretty. I have no problem with the kids outfit.

how do ipads actually help with education in any way? I've yet to see any reason outside of advertising with some BS thing like a scrollable cross section of the human body for biology or a picture of the periodic table in chemistry, but for day-to-day, I can't see the ipad being useful.

Most people use tablets in school because their textbook is on it or they're going to dick around on it. They might also take pics of the board or whatever with it.
That's the extent of what I've seen anyway. Taking notes on it is just not viable. Having paper notes is still better. I can see a student taking a pic of the board and writing in notes later while studying.
But yea, tablets in school is a meme. They're like a status symbol most of the time. You'll see a basic bitch come in with her Starbucks coffee and plop her tablet down and not even use the fucking thing during class. She'll just open it a few times to just look at her messages or notifications.

At high school, we got shitty laptops with winxp and those were at least somewhat useful, because we could download notes from school intranet, open up word docs, excel and stuff and could email homework to the teacher.
Sure there were times where we'd play games on them too, but that was dangerous because they were pentium 4s and running xp meant that trying to quickly close a game might take 5 mins to get back to the desktop.
Using ipads just seems like such a step backwards and not in any way practical. Although with the latest update apparently having a file browser, it might not be complete trash, but I've got my suspicions.

Why would she need a computer? Seriously, if all she does is homework, browse the web, and talk her friends a tablet is the best thing: it's got a long battery life, it's easy to carry and light.
