Python
Ubuntu
Vim

Ill never understand the love for lisp even as a functional programming language it seems lackluster

>Programming language
half of them fucking suck, while the other half are obscure and there are no jobs available. Currently working in Java 9 (Spring + JPA)

IntelliJ and Netbeans

you are me circa 2014

Tell me user, how are ypu now?

I work with Python and JavaScript at my day job, doesn't mean I can't enjoy doing C/C++ on my free projects.
In fact sometimes I've done custom modules for CPython and node-gyp in C++. Sad that you have to project.

>Using Outdated Ubuntu as driving distro

desu Lisp was my first langauge, that's all

>c++
>don't care about distros

Have you tried other functional programming languages like Scheme, Erlang or Scala they all seem better built. Given Lisp is really old just odd seeing how many people still use it.

Yes, but at work I use Java on a Mac with IntelliJ.

For the elegance and simplicity. Of course you use the right language for the job, but C will always have a special place in my heart.
>Sublime text, nano
If I ever put enough work in to learn to use vim I'll just use Emacs with evil, but for now sublime is comfy and nano works in text mode quite well if you know how to use it properly
>Debian
Yeah, systemd sucks (and not in the systemd sucks meme way, I've actually done some research and I don't like it), so I'll probably move to FreeBSD at some point, but right now testing for my PC and laptop and stable for my VPSes and servers.
There, I got pretty defensive about my choices but that's because there are a lot of morons who learn to use one thing and stick with it even when it's the worst thing for the job.
Also I'm an EE student, so I'll probably have to use windows in the future, fml.

You should try kdevelop

Java
ZorinOS Lite
NetBeans

K, programming newfag, starting a side job in programming (am 3D but is getting too competitive and I future seems uncertain) in Python (ingesting quick and easily, at least for now).

Do I need to go for full time entry level job before am able to freelance? Wat do to get independent and paid asap? Possible, say, in a year from now when I'm a quick learner but on level 0?

don't care about distros == he like ubuntu

Sorry, I'm an idort. I don't really do go-to's anymore since everything exists within some context. But if you're talking strictly-speaking in terms of how good it feels to use them for what they're meant for:
C#
Debian
Is there an option for "Eclipse, but without all the bugs"? Because I really wish that IDE existed.

Wow you guys are so cool using a text-editor instead of an IDE! So original and PRO coder!1!1!1

All of you just end your life and stop trying to look cool in a fucking Sup Forums board, holy fuck. You’re pathetic, keep limiting yourself.
