Are people really falling for this meme? It's been almost 10 years and they still haven't caught up with Chrome.
>b-but it's so fast!!! lol no Chrome is still at least twice as fast, it has proper multi-process support and it doesn't lock up the entire system just because of one tab misbehaving
Except all of your criticisms are objectively and measurably untrue.
Bentley Lewis
>muh botnet There's literally no proof Chrome tracks you more than Firefox does and you can also choose to use it without a Google account.
Jaxon Bell
>Chrome Why not Chromium?
Justin Evans
Still sends your data to Google, even without signing in
Hunter Peterson
Proof?
Jaxson Garcia
Because freetards who are paranoid about the botnet but still run so much javashit that firefox is slow matter more than ricers according to the faggots at marxzilla.
Ryan Green
Go look at the source code
Nathan Cook
Holy fucking SHIT people USE WHAT YOU DON'T HOW COULD THIS BE THIS GOTTA BE SOME KIND OF CONSPIRACY AGAINST YOU LIKE HOW DARE THEY INSTALL WHAT YOU DIDN'T I'd blame da j00z if I were (You), but thankfully I'm not so I don't have to hang myself over people choosing other software than me.
Samuel Ross
What do you want, wireshark logs?
Nathan Mitchell
These kind of posts makes me want to install Firefox.
Chase Ross
Since you claim it sends my data to Google then you must have audited the source code yourself so link me the relevant code or fuck off
Justin Cruz
>unsourced and outlandishly false claims yup it's another chrome shill
reasonably confident this is also bullshit since i've never seen any proof of it
the burden to show proof is on you when you're making the claim, fuck off
Brayden Fisher
Tell me what data it sends just connecting to Google isn't proof enough because even Firefox does that for things like the malware blocking list and all your searches if you use the default search engine
Juan Long
if it's that easy to find, where's your ungoogled fork and why isn't it in the AUR/portage yet?
Tyler Allen
Anti phishing protection. It's the same as used in Firefox. It was funny when MS sponsored crap came out different security level, when they use the same google service.
Isaac Sullivan
>removes all the advantages is has over chrome, the amazing addons >but but it's faster now! Nope. Tried it myself. The tab management is still ass compared to chrome, too.
David Ortiz
this isnt a fucking debate this is a message board for retards
Right, both send your data to Google. So, why not Chromium instead of Chrome?
Carter Jackson
>hurr we're all retarded How embarrassing
Daniel Rodriguez
neither, firefox
Liam Foster
Goddamn you're fucking retarded, I'm out
Grayson Perez
>unsourced and outlandishly false claims For performance: download Chrome/Chromium and Firefox, run any benchmark you want (or if you want real world usage then open the network monitor and compare load speed) and Firefox will lose every time unless you cheat by using cache or similar
For multi-process: Chrome uses one tab per website (or maybe domain), Firefox doesn't. Chrome processes uses like 10-30 MB each while Firefox uses 150-200 MB for each. Even Internet Explorer had better multi-process than Firefox
For one tab fucking up the entire system: consequence of poor multi-process
Firefox does the same. I said show me it sends any data that Firefox doesn't.
Jace Watson
>goes beyond just removing google tracking and starts disabling features that might be less than private
How retarded.
Easton Adams
>plugins go for a decent fork. or even seamonkey.
Evan Baker
Which one uses less resources with a 1000 tabs?
Aiden Miller
I don't use chrome, so it's beyond me. Maybe heavier prefetching. This lead to higher chrome os stats too.
Sebastian Long
Firefox has like 10% market share.
Use Brave instead.
Dominic Gonzalez
>go for a decent fork. Such as...? Pale Meme is a piece of shit built on old codebase that gets bumped all the time because the idiot can't maintain it and I'd personally love to see him maintain old extension compatibility while still incorporating the performance benefits of project quantum.
Waterfox is even more of a meme since it's just a rebranded version of Firefox with some different configure options all that can be achieved by compiling Firefox yourself from source. The fucker maintaing it doesn't even know how to code how the fuck is he supposed to maintain it?
Samuel Peterson
Waterfox is ded.
Noah Cruz
which has less marketshare and is a crapfest of latency and stability.
its also got shitty UI
brave shills are all kikes
Brody Perry
if you use 1000 tabs you're a waste of natural resources
Christian Lee
I've been using Seamonkey for years.
I'm pessimistic now that Firefox has shaken off the customizable side of its backend.
Nathaniel Ortiz
They try to team up with pale meme or with other forks, but i doubt they will have much luck on the long run.
Lincoln Davis
Both FF and Chrome are complete shit. Both browsers have severe loyalty problems. They don't serve you, but their maker.
Ryan Hernandez
Ok, so, since switching to firefox I've had two big things happen.
Far less tab crashes. Far less ram usage.
I can't tell the difference in speed or really just general usage. So who the fuck cares? I'm not rubbing up against 16gb of RAM with just my research tabs open.
