Twitter ends free speech and goes full botnet

Starting next month Twitter will use cookies to monitor what sites you visit and suspend your twitter if you visit alt-right/white supremacy related websites. Will Sup Forums users get banned too?

Social media has always been a botnet of echo chambers. Why use that shit?

twitter users should be banned on Sup Forums rather

twitter, facebook, reddit cookies should get you banned on Sup Forums

I don't think you can read cookies from other sites, that would be a massive security problem. And I don't think those evil sites feature Twitter share buttons for direct tracking.

Any "Sup Forums user" who uses Twitter deserves to get banned and preferably killed.

That's not how cookies work.

Correct, it can track you across sites that have Twitter integration only. Don't integrate social media botnet into your site and you won't be tracked there.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Same-origin_policy

tl;dr no it's not

>2017
>still using jew/arab-owned (((social media)))

you deserve everything that is coming to you

90% of sites probably has a stupid twitter share button and nobody uses uMatrix properly so it's still a pretty big deal

>Will Sup Forums users get banned too?
Hopefully.

OP here. i don't use any social media tbhon just posting it

Of course, antifa will be allowed to go on despite the fact that they use violence against civillians to further their own causes.

>b-but it is digital robbery to not have social media buttons on your website.

>will use cookies to monitor what sites you visit and suspend
why lie?

every corporate in America seems to go full lefists/marxist after a while. This is why we must continue to build on top of open source, decentralised projects

THANK YOU BASED TWITTER

ALL YOU NAZIS GET THE FUCK OUT

It's very concerning

Twitter used to be relatively cool as in maintaining a javascript-free site and not caring about what people posted, just like whatsapp used to be anti-datamining. Looks like the last remainents of a semi-okay normie internet are gone now

I use Twitter to follow nsfw porn artists. I really hope none of them get banned.

I can't wait until Twitter and Facebook suffer the fate of myspace. I talk to a few normies and every year they seem to dislike more and more these platforms, they feel worse, they're fed with lies through them and they have more silly debates than they would in real life.

In any case, I've seen this whole "freedom of speech" thing going over the last few years, it's true that you should be able to say what you want, as you should get some criticism. Speech is speech though. People have been doing stupid shit that has nothing to do with speaking or writing some shit on twitter and acting as though it's also freedom of speech. And some people are utterly paranoid or start using alternative services that are unnecessary as well, all to protect this free speech.

I think what shouldn't be tolerated is spam. A wall full of meaningless nonsense that I have to scroll through because someone sperged out and is using a bot, that's not freedom of speech. That's being a complete child. If you don't like what you have, speak up in a normal way, don't spam the same word 70.000 times. Spam is some bullshit and thank god there are algorythms to stop it.

Also some people need to desensitize themselves the fuck up. Yeah you're new to the internet, but you're not new to the world. You know behind a screen everyone can say everything and not even mean it, so don't go acting like every single death threat is real. But hey, some people do it anyways for the victim status. Twitter allows this nonsense. We can't have someone criticizing the same thing you're censoring left and right because that someone is also subject to censorship due to bringing it up, but it's ok for some bimbo to show her twat every 15 minutes with a shitty filter.

From what I can read, it seems that they are going to ban antifa, that's a good thing huh?
:^)

Do people still use that shithole of a website?

Social Media platforms are irrelevant and literally feed addiction. Which is what makes them successful.

I've found it far more fulfilling to chat to real people and hang out with friends, than spend time reading through some horseshit on a social media site. It's pointless drivel from people I hardly know. I deleted my Facebook account like 7 years ago and haven't looked back since.

this is retarded there's no "free speech" they're a business and providing a service they can literally do whatever they want and you have to deal with it

They're a government seeded psyop

How do you use it "properly"

>free speech
>private website

You're retarded if you expected that. You're using a service of theirs. I don't get the people who absolutely cannot contain their autism and must shitpost on Twitter. Just fucking leave it.

Good. I don't use any social media but so many people do which gave these companies the data they needed to become what they are today. If these companies want to shoot their own cattle, then let them.

You two make no sense. You don't have to be a government to do something that's bad for free speech. Billions of cucks get all their news of sites like twitter so by botnetting people to filter certain opinions they'll get even more trapped in their dream world. Ofcourse twitter can do what the fuck they want but they are harming free speech.

Really what they're going to do is ban people that share Sup Forums, etc posts on Twitter or share twitter posts on Sup Forums (when you click a link on Sup Forums, the destination server can see who the referring server was)

They're basically going to use the same metrics available to anyone running a server to ban users.

block all facebook twitter and g-plus domains on all websites except for facebook twitter ...
you can achieve this with 1 or 2 rules per service

“The WorldWideWeb was a mistake.”
—Sir Tim Berners-Lee.

Sup Forums removes referrers. Click a link and you'll see the redirection.

>it's another "I don't know what free speech is" thread
hmm.jpg

Stop using social media, kid.

reminder that illegals are not civilian, but invaders which renders them a combatant.

>monitoring on and off the platform
>and off of the platform
what did they mean by this?

Maybe this will start persuading more people to use Tor.

This. You can have all the free speech in the world alone in the wilderness.

I straight p just deleted my account, fuck this. Is there anyway to combat this shit?

I only use Twitter to find pictures of random girls but it seems I'll be forced to stick to Instagram. RIP.

They want the rare Pepe's OFF THEIR PLATFORM so badly. This is a corporate equivalent of autistic screeching. I suggest shorting them HARD when this comes into effect.

just use PrivacyBadger

So? Go make a twitter alternative and have your own rules there.

Twitter users are retards, all of them.

First they came for the white supremacists, and I didn't say anything because I don't believe in the systematic extermination of people. Then they came for the homophobes, and I didn't say anything because I don't believe in discriminating against someone for who they love. Then they came for the islamophobes, and I didn't say anything because I believe people should be able to practice their religion without fear. Then they didn't come for me, because I'm not a disgusting piece of shit.

Doubtful faggot, you're posting on the neonazi imageboard.

you seem to believe that you have to actually be guilty of something for them to come for you.

this

>Islamophobe
>being afraid of literally the most misogynistic, barbarous, pedophilic and insanely viral religion in the current world is bad
>muh everyone slightly right of Michael Moore is a white supremacist bullshit
>gay people are literally STD factories and tend to be fucked up as children
You act as if there's no reason to be somewhat afraid of these things entering my/your personal lives...

anyway, good b8 m8

Most likely what they're planning on doing is if you're still signed into twitter and you use their service like through those embedded twitter posts you sometimes see on websites then they'll ban you if the site you're posting from is known to spread hate speech

You don't seem to get the point. Ofcourse I don't use twitter. ofcourse you don't use twitter. But billions of normies do and meanwhile complete disrespect towards freedom/privacy get's forced upon society through them. Sites like twitter influence society and as they get worse and worse, the things we hate about them become part of the world we live in.

>Jornalist goes to "hate speech" site
>"hate speech" site has Twitter botnet buttons™
>Jornalist is banned from Twitter due to going on "hate speech" site
What transgender autist thought this would be a good idea?

Presumably it wouldn't be as simple as just viewing the post you might have to actually like the post while posting from those sites.

>transgender
>being a functional member of society
pick 1

I didn't say being employed by Twitter was being a functional member of society
The opposite is stated by the phrase "transgender autist"
Captcha: calle calle

their stock was suffering because they have the reputation of being literally Nazi HQ so they had to do something

They seek peace through violence, user, don't you want to live in a peaceful communist utopia?

I was reiterating your point

CALLE CALLE!!

I miss calle calle tbhonest

no

I still get callee's oftenish since I use legacy captchas, sadly recaptcha v1 is being shutdown by the goolag soon.

they don't come after you for being a bigot.
they come after you for posting on Sup Forums, being a gamer, having an anime avatar, watching youtube, liking certain memes, etc. anything they associate with "the bad people"

Good. i hope normie net completely crashes and burns including this mongolian basket weaving site. We need to transition to decentralized web3 and watch normie faggots cry when they realize they have no censorship powers at all when there are no servers to shut down and no virtue signaling tech startup ceos to threaten.

But I guess the mobile app still can do all the flat-out tracking?

Nice. Twitter is finally getting it together and joining the massive internet buttfuck of braindamaged Sup Forumstards. This thread is sweet. So much cry. So much wail.

I bet this sounded more bad-ass in your head haha

Anyone got a source on this apart from the pic in the OP?

mashable.com/2017/11/17/twitter-hate-speech-symbols-december-18/ I believe this is the article from the pic in OP

Who the fuck uses Twitter besides celebrities marketing their bullshit?

Or any social media for that matter? They're all just advertising platforms now

>Or any social media for that matter? They're all just advertising platforms now
Pretty much. I have a throwaway Instagram account that I use to follow hot bitches, and these days it's almost 100% sponsored snake oil product posts and other bullshit. Not even worth it

>not using gab.ai

>2017
>not monitoring social media
It's like you want to be an uninformed dolt

>I don't know what free speech means, but I'll ramble anyway
fuck off

>pedophilic
>posts anime
so this is the power of Sup Forums

Twitter is not kicking the Nazis out

It's Gassing the Jews

Shadman insta ban

You're the normies. You think Nazi fucks are the smart ones???

>2017
>Using social media

> You also may not affiliate with organizations that use or promote violence.

So, Twitter users should be banned from Twitter.

...

>what is the difference between morality and law

>Twitter is no longer tolerating the endorsement of white genocide

>Twitter ends free speech
Daily that reminder that "free speech" is a political term and only applies to the government

1st amendment:
>Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Free speech has absolute nothing to do with a corporation like a twitter or Facebook. To pretend for even a moment that they're bound by the first amendment in any way shape or form is retarded. They can't "end" free speech because they never had it in the first place.

>The Dec. 18 deadline also applies to using "hateful images or symbols" in profile images or profile headers
inb4 I get instabanned for an abstract pepe I've had as my profile pic since 2011-2012

First they came for the white supremacists, and I laughed because I am a jewish and african supremacist. Seriously lol fuck pale people, they're too skinny and suck at being privileged. Come back from a holocaust and conquer the world and then call yourselves the master race. Then they came for the homophobes, and I sat down and ate my popcorn even though I had tweets up stating that 8 year old children can consent to HRT. Don't ask me what I think of sex ;)! And then they came for the islamophobes, and I laughed my ass off before tweeting, again, about how christians are universally bigoted scum who held society back during the dark ages. And then they didn't come for me, because I was on their side the whole time.

ALL HUMANS ARE HATEFUL, DISGUSTING PIECES OF SHIT.
ALL HUMANS DISLIKE HATEFUL, DISGUSTING PIECES OF SHIT
ALL HUMANS WILL FOCUS ON WHY OTHER HUMANS ARE HATEFUL DISGUSTING PIECES OF SHIT TO GET YOU TO LIKE THEM
ALL HUMANS WILL RATIONALIZE THEIR HATEFUL DISGUSTING VIEWS AS "CORRECT"

Do not trust humans.

>Daily that
Daily reminder that "free speech" is also a term in ethics; it refers to the same concept, but is not bound by law, and cannot be sanctioned. An action may be lawful, yet deontologically objectionable.

>not blocking everything third-party for all websites by default
>using uMatrix properly"

people who don't just set it to the global scope except to block very specific shit confuse me.

I block everything except first-party images and css by default and manually unblock what I need beyond that as minimally as possible.

It's partly about keeping pages as minimal as possible (for simplicity and performance) and minimizing connections to different addresses (for privacy and security).

Using uMatrix in any other way just seems half-assed.

Or if you're not autistic, just allow everything and build up a blacklist.

gab stands to benefit
secure your handle now

I dont use jewtter so dont really give a shit. If you get censored its your own fault.

>I block everything except first-party images and css by default
Do you know what a tracking pixel is? Lots of sites use it. Reddit has one:

It'll break sites even further, but allowing images by default leaves you susceptible to this form of tracking, which a lot of sites use

is it any less of a botnet than twitter is?

Basically 90% of the entire internet is cancer nowadays. It's actually easier to block everything first and then allow the 10% you actually need/want. Plus it's just silly to load malicious stuff and then block it after you were already a victim of it at least once.

I only allow first-party images by default, so my setup would only be susceptible in your example if Reddit is using a tracking pixel from themselves on their own website, which might be the case but it just seems silly. If I'm already visiting a website, they already know I'm there whether I load an image or not.

>If I'm already visiting a website, they already know I'm there

That's a good point. I actually googled that HTML string before and it was showing results for 7+ years ago, so maybe it's a legacy thing anyways

You need to go back
>>>r/sandersforpresident

Reddit probably does use tracking pixels, but the main concern is when they are a third-party on other websites. If Sup Forums had a reddit tracking pixel, reddit would be able to track you on Sup Forums if you weren't blocking third-party images, or at least that image specifically.

Please read this: slatestarcodex.com/2013/12/29/the-spirit-of-the-first-amendment/

>being on shitter

I guarantee they will ban you for pepe. Normies actually believe pepe ia a hate symbol. This will backfire hard when twitter attempts pepe ethnic cleansing.

>neolibertards cry about big gov, "waaah let the free market fix it"
>free market lets twitter kick them out
>"waaah where my protections and rights at? Why's the government letting that happen?"

Guess what retards, you have no constitutional rights or freedoms (of expression, non-discrimination, etc.) on a PRIVATE platform.

The constitution only forces THE GOVERNMENT to grant you these rights and protects you from THE GOVERNMENT trying to prosecute you for your opinions.

Twitter kicking out out right wing neolibtards is sweet laissez-faire irony at its finest.
