I had a Ryzen and Vega machine, but the Wraith Max cooler fried my Mobo, RAM, and CPU.
That taught me a hard lesson:
Don't be an AMD fanboy
Don’t blame amd for user stupidity
It was during GDDR, I have no idea how Hynix are on HBM2.
Glad you got Samsung though.
Bump
Are you wearing noise cancelling headphones while gaming?

I love the colour of your fans user, nice rig/10
How is reference vega? Will I hear it in my HD598 when playing muh games?
Is it true that it is getting a refresh next spring?
Nice one man, you finally got a vega?
Which model?
Pic related my Ryzen+Vega hot as fucc red led apocalypse.
user..
You know you can get black Noctua fans right now right? They released the Chromax versions, same as the ones you've got without going up to 2000~3000 rpm but in black and with customizable rubber padding.

But 8/10 set up, what specs you got in there?
I'm happy enough with the diarrhea colored ones, it's not like I have a window.
wassup
Is that a Pentium 4?
I'm planning to build a 98SE/late DOS retro PC over Christmas, allready have all the parts
>Northwood P4 2.8 Ghz
>MSI 865 chipset board with SATA
>GeForce 4 Ti 4200 64 MB
>1 GB DDR RAM
>SB Audigy
Wondering if I should reuse a beige case or get a cheap modern one.
Nope:
>Pentium E2160
>ASUS P5GC-MX/1333 - 945GC w/ 1333FSB support
>Geforce 7300LE 256MB made by Manli
>512MB DDR2
>Pixelview PV-TV304+ TV tuner
>XP SP3/PoSReady 2009
Definitely go for a beige case though. I don't know why but there's something that just doesn't look right when you slap a Pentium 4 of that era in a modern one. Or anything from the P4 up to the Socket 754/939 era altogether.
What PSU though? I just scored a cheap Celeron with nearly the same kind of board (MSI 848P Neo-V) and the PSU that it came with was as cheap as possible. I replaced it with another PSU that was packed with components so it doesn't burn up like the one it came with almost did. Just needed a GPU (hence why it was cheap) and a lot of good cleaning. I bought a Radeon 9550 128MB AGP with whatever change I had left since I've heard these can be unlocked into 9600 Pro.
I have an older Seasonic 400W unit lying around that I'm probably going to use.
Either that or I'll get a 300-400W one new.
So far it only cost me ~7€ for the motherboard.
Does Fractal still make the best sound proof cases?
Has anyone out there made a decent soundproof case?
