Sauerbraten is mostly made out of Beef nowadays though. Still people eat horse meat, often in the form of sausage. Mostly in the North of Germany, and most prominently in Niedersachsen this is the case. (as far as I know)

We eat it in NRW as well. It's even sold in stores like Kaufland. I mean you're right about it mainly being made of Beef these days but I thing that you can get both options in most regions.
Ryder Jenkins
It's interesting that with all the free movement of information, people, goods, and services, we still have food cultures segregated even within a same country.

It's Yugake, that is a deerskin glove-like gear for drawing Japanese bow used in Japanese kyudo (Japanese art of archery) or the art of Japanese archery, and has a groove for pulling the string.

My friend used 'tsukkomi' to describe a female character he's writing is it more likely he means 'straight man' (as in the comedy 'straight man') or 'sexual'?
I'm fine, just watching some olympics. What about you?
Nicholas Allen
Do something interesting so your descendants have a cool story to tell about you then

We have this style of stand-up comedy that is performed by two people. One says something stupid and then the other objects it in more common-sense compliant ways. The former is called "boke" and the latter is called "tsukkomi"....does this make sense?
Logan Sanchez
Seems "straight man" but not sure. Your friend writing some sort of fanfic? Meaning might depends on his story and context. >en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straight_man_(stock_character) >"In the manzai comedy of Japan, the straight man is called tsukkomi."
Nicholas Walker

If you don't already have the Swedish one, let me help you out as a formal apology for mistaking you for him. "Får en verkligen att tänka."

I'm watching some track while I wait for gymnastics to start and waiting for Mexico to compete in whatever sport to watch it.
Christopher Jenkins
That's an extremely literal translation. Verkligen = really, gör = makes, dig = you, tänka = think.
Får en verkligen att tänka can be cut down like this: "Får en" literally means "gets one", but in this context it means "makes you." Verkligen still means really. Att tänka = to think. So literally translated it would mean gets one (to) really think, but it sounds way more natural in Swedish.

Thanks, so I'm assuming "vad gjorde han/hon menade vid detta?" is incorrect also?
Grayson Jenkins
It smells of bananas and chocolate but doesn't taste like them at all.
Ryder Russell
>vad gjorde han/hon "What did he/she do." >vad gjorde han/hon menade vid detta "What did he/she do mean next to this." Basically a junk sentence that makes no sense. If you're looking for "what did they/he/she mean by this." then you want: "Vad menade X med detta?" and replace X with: Han = he/him. Hon = she/her. De/dem = they/them, context sensitive.
Mason Price
no... I don't usually get the sexual connotation from that word.
