Well, all the elites in the Capitol did not want to secede from Spain, so they joined Mexico for 2 years. Then Mexico fell apart, so the Capitol had to pretend to care about the provinces, which did not go well. Within 30 years, we were all balkanized because even though we all spoke the same language and had the same culture, even in the shittiest situation someone would rather be king of shit mountain than to work together.

This. Also, there used to be a country called Los Altos bordering Guatemala and Mexico and we invaded them because we could and it is now part of Guatemala.
This was their capital and now it is the second most important city in Guatemala.

Our military is weaker than those from El Salvador and Honduras in terms of vehicles, because our airforce is very outdated. Belize is much much weaker than us but they are protected by Great Britain and we know what happens when a Latin American country goes at war with them. It would be ideal if central american nations made uno country once again voluntarily but we are far from that unless a more powerful nation forced us or something.
