No uncooked bootloader. Closed as fuck and rather backdoors OS. How can it be /our/ phone? These ARE rather comfy tho, I'll give you that.
No.
A true smartphone.
Why did these old Nokias look so esthetic?
im not a fan of bezeless phones...but that phone has too much fucking bezel
How does the Classic perform while web browsing, YouTube and Spotify?
retards
Spotify takes awhile to open but once it does it works fine. Web browsing and YouTube are near flawless.
Probably, but this is /myphone/ ...
Palm and WebOS where great.
The N900 however beats it, as it's just a tiny ARM laptop with a touchscreen and GSM/3G modem.
You can't even use that Palm Pre as a IR remote or play music on your FM radio.
How do you hook it up to a TV? Oh right, no AV out.
How do you even hook up USB devices? Right, no USB host.
Obviously both are seriously outdated by today, but the N900 was a monster in a pocket at it's time. The Pre was just a cool smartphone.
>Android
no.
This nigga knows wassup.
>playing gameboy and nes and snes games behind a tv with the a/v lead
>playing quake 3 on a tv and controller

The iPhone X is the huge leap forward that Apple's handsets needed. Aside
from the original iPhone in 2007, this new iPhone is set to have the biggest
▄mpact on Apple’s smartphone direction ever.
██▌
██▌le itself is calling it the future of the smartphone, the embodiment of what
██▌s been trying to achieve for a decade. But while the iPhone X is all about
██▌mium parts and an all-new experience, it’s a huge gamble for the Cupertino
██▌nd too as it tries to reclaim some leadership in smartphone innovation.
██▌
██▌ing key, reliable elements like the Touch ID fingerprint scanner, the home
██▌tton; introducing new methods of navigating and unlocking the phone – and
▀charging a lot more for the privilege – seems risky for a company that was
already treading new ground by doing away with the traditional headphone jack
last year.
You can run let's say Ubuntu on N900?
that shape is way more comfortable to type on than any of the phones on their modern line up so yes
Will they ever make a better phone?
>BlackBerry Classic
>Android
no
They've made multiple. OP posted one, here is another example.
>No baseband shit
Retards who don't think this is /ourphone/ must be gassed.they don't know shit and keep spouting what they feel is "comfy" and "aesthetic"
That's no OG Motorola Droid, faggot.
What are the requirements for a phone to be /ourphone/?

I had one of these. Unfortunately, the charger port has been dislocated and it's basically no longer usable.
Palm OS is still alive in the form of lune OS btw if you have an hp touchpad rpi2 and 3, galaxy nexus, nexus 4 and nexus 5 you can use it.
I bought a nexus 5 used from ebay and holy fuck it's good
Somebody needs to crack the fucking bootloader i want to load linux on it.
Is puri.sm our only hope to save smartphones?
no
I had to switch from BB to a shitty android phone because some apps I needed didn't run on it. I think that will be the main problem with the Librem5, too.
I'd buy if it had a keyboard
I personally prefer using a a browser and as long as open applications from fdroid work i am fine. Also pretty sure you can get an adroid rom for it.
