Speccy Thread

My second RAM stick got RMA'd today so let's have a speccy thread to celebrate.

All AMD so far, so comfy.

rip my dumbass, i hope a 4770k lasts until 2020

Why even bother?

i just upgraded it is still sluggish

what program is that?

hahahaha what a jackass

That's debatable

The absolute state of poorfags

This guy's using Everest. It predated speccy but antiquated as shit now.

Nah, it's not quad, Everest counts each port as a graphics card.

...

nice oc i'm jealous i only managed to get up to 3.8 i might tell amazon my cpu is dead near the end of the warranty and get a new one

...

That guy's running a potato. If you disabled your SMT like his is by default, you'd be able to hit it no problem.

It also may just be your motherboard and cooling. Ryzen has a pretty decent voltage tolerance as long as you have a decent motherboard. What voltage was failing at 3.95 and 3.9?

I've got my 1700 at 3.9ghz on 1.5v stable. I could get up to 3.95ghz but was getting lower benchmarks in cinebench. I've also got a phanteks ph-tc14pe strapped to my crosshair vi hero. VRM makes a big difference with Ryzen.

i didn't want to go past 1.3v since i am using the stock cooler and everything about 3.85 was unstable constant crashing. i only have a b350 mobo so that may be the problem

z mobo, non-k cpu

>2 furys
why

it doesn't
pic related is a 4790k

OP here, I love how triggering my R3 build is for some people.

I didn't reallllly even feel the need to upgrade but I was running an FX-8350 before and it was feeling old, plus Micro Center had $50 off motherboards when you bought any Ryzen. The R3 increased my benchmark scores slightly overall so I can't complain.

I'll upgrade to something more powerful when Ryzen 2 drops, after upgrading my graphics card.

because its cheaper than being a intel corelet

...

Coffee Lake refresh when?

Should I get a real SSD instead of the current Chink one?

>stuttering cpu
>wants to buy intel again
you never learn do you

m8...1.5V is well beyond the recommended spec. AMD recommends 1.45V max

...

My temps before I added another 120mm radiator

help me

Just got the SSD, not hugely noticeable different from my 850 Pro.

Geez, user...

...

I have an 850 Pro in my laptop at the moment, but I was thinking about getting a 960 Pro for a desktop build I'll be doing soon. Is there anything that makes the 960 Pro worth it?

If you can afford it, it has a 5 year warranty. This only has a 3 year. Also the 960 Pro performs better.

Had my 850 Pro for 2 years so far, just shoved it in my T440p for now.

>paying double for no perceptible difference
as expected of 7700k buyers

It was a dumb purchase but hey.

My bad, I didn't see that you had an Evo instead of the Pro. I guess what I'm asking is, is it worth getting an M.2 SSD like the 960 Evo/Pro over a SATA III SSD like the 850 Evo/Pro?

When you consider the read/write speeds, absolutely.

SATA-III is limited to 600MB/s after all.

i got both for $250 each at different times.

seemed to be worth it

And where exactly will you see the difference? Because for boot, starting applications and games it's the same as SATA.

Not really though. I mean if you compare starting applications and booting the different will seem negligible but if you have any games that have large loads they'll be impacted dramatically.

Worth the extra outlay? Perhaps not. That is up to you of course. My 960 EVO wasn't terribly expensive and the m.2 form factor is much more tidy than a regular SATA drive.

kek it serves its purpose

>if you have any games that have large loads they'll be impacted dramatically.
Got any examples?

...

rate my bottleneck lads

>more VRAM than actual RAM
embarrassing

>1700 at 3.9ghz on 1.5v stable
housefire lol

Moving up to ryzen with 16gb soon but my old GPU broke so I decided to buy a new one, it's quite the upgrade from my old 660ti but the CPU bottleneck in some vidya is insane. Luckily DX12/vulkan stuff is flawless though.

>5.25ghz
That's a golden chip is I say so, unless ur running like 1.55V or something.
Did you buy that from the silicone lottery?

1.44v got it off newegg, ordered on day one, took about 3 weeks to actually ship out

it can benchmark at 5.3+ but is not stable at that point and will crash after a while even doing light tasks like games

...

>1.44v
Bit high but fuck it.
5.2ghz is good shit.
Anything above 4.8ghz beats out the 1800x in heavy workloads.

I waited to see what silicon lottery used as there max voltage, and that's what I decided to use as mine, since if they will warranty a 1.44v chip it must be safe enough to run for a while without killing the chip.

it does really well in multithread, an 1800x would need 4.1+ to match/ beat it

It works, I guess

get ryzen/10

>at 5.5 ghz
At the end of the day you are still a corelet

xeon is ocd to 3.5 ghz. It's a lovely system and smashes anything i've ever thrown at it.

side note: the c2050 is for sensitive gpu processing, it's got that ecc vram. and in the mean time, it makes a solid physx card :P

When is speccy ever going to properly identify NVMe drives

...

inb4 someone asks about the motherboard again

>90C
>91C

How's your card still even functioning after all the years at these temps

probably never. I've got the intel 600p and it just unknowns the heck out of it despite it being a hugely common ssd

>intel 600p
wow is that thing bad

...

the 600p aint the fastest drive out there but it's cheap. I got it from newegg for $140

...

...

...

Works as a space heater too.

...

Speccy sucks at detecting specs

...

...

Tighten those timings my nigga

Whoops

>all these pointless upgrades itt
Sad!

How does it feel to be a richfag... gib pls

Comfy. Yes I know it's running warm.

only person that uses 7 yr old lcd tv...feels bad

literally slower than a sata 3 drive

N A N I?

How's the performance with SLI at 1440p?

CHECKED & QUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD

As long as it doesn't blow up your motherboard or nuke it.

ICE..COLD.

You've been memed, son.

D-did you delid this?
I'm not sure if I hit the silicon lottery though, I can run mine at 5ghz at 1.3 volts without trouble.

My niggas

>those timings

what memory

gskill.com/en/product/f4-3200c14d-16gtz

I had the option to get them at £100 for another 16gb like 3 months ago but thought 16gb is enough but now its 200+ for this RAM.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

You can check my temps, no housefire here. Pretty comfy.

>1665MHz
>not 1732MHz

Speed up your ram to something respectable. Ryzen needs frequency not timing.

Why does speccy always display my cpu's temp 20c higher than the real one?
