I've been switching out batteries in my Galaxy S5 regularly. When one is empty I put it in a wall charger and go to the next. I also use Qi charging. Nearly half these batteries are bubbling up now. Is it the 2 amp charging in the phone or the Qi charging? I know it can't be the wall charging because it shuts off at 90% and only uses 1 amp. Or could it ACTUALLY be the wall charger because it's a cheap charger? I listened to an actual smart charger and it pulsates instead of sending continuous flow.
TL:DR; What's killing my Li-ion batteries. 1. Qi charging 2. Fast charging inside the phone with 2 amps or 3. A cheap charger from ebay?

imagine being so autistic you need to constantly be on your phone instead of being aware of your surroundings
Jayden Howard
Wall charger. 100%.
Cooper Edwards
why the fuck would you charge lion at 2 amps? I charge 18650s at about 300ma
Jacob Parker
be sure to store those someplace flammable OP so darwin can do his work
Logan Perez
wy buy all tht shit and still use a cheapo shit charger? get an anker 5 port charger
Camden Brooks
ur cheap ass wall charger u nigger

>1. Qi charging 2. Fast charging inside the phone with 2 amps or 3. A cheap charger from ebay?
You answered your own question. L-Ion batteries are basically bombs, and you're betting your hand that chinese slave labor understands the difference between 110vac and 5VDC
Aiden Watson
.5 is fine but yes, low and slow is better for lion
Bentley Martinez
I've recently gone from 1 amp to 0.5 and noticed that they don't lose charge as quickly

Damn. I literally bought 4 of them. But yeah. That explains it. I guess I need to research how to charge Li-ion batteries.
The phone comes with a 2 amp wall USB charger stock. It then charges the battery at about 2 amps inside the phone. I downloaded some USB amp meter app. It says that the ampere is reduced when it gets close to being full.
>Anker 5 port charger. Do they make those for my size battery? (S5?) Or are you saying 5 port USB charger? Because I need to charge my batteries while they're out of the phone.
Joseph Wilson
So this would mean that using a super charger on a Tesla is bad for the batteries. Right?
Hunter Russell
>The so-called miracle charger that promises to prolong battery life and gain extra capacity with pulses and other gimmicks does not exist.
Found that while searching Google on how to charge Li-ion batteries.
Jordan Morales
>It says that the ampere is reduced when it gets close to being full. as the voltage difference gets closer together, the rate of charge will decrease. also, most lithium ion devices dont actually charge to 100% because this kills the batter. lion likes something like 20-80% charge. inorder to charge at a hich current, I think they would have to charge at a stupid high voltage. this wears the batter out, and causes alot of heat which also damages the cell. this is good for a phone manufacturer that wants people to have to buy a new phone every year or so. my moto charges hot to the touch. my 18650s that charge at 4.2 volts at 300ma will charge cold to the touch. the lower their initial charge, the higher the current will be. I limit the current so they wont charge fast and damage themselves.

Imagine being this autistic

>>Anker 5 port charger. not him. a quick google search shows its a 5port usb charger. idk what type of charger youve been using. I bought a 5port 2.something amp charger from orico. its fucking garbage. it is not 2 amps, it cant even supply 400 ma with only 1 port in use.
Jordan Richardson
Im in a similar situation, except I don't use Qi charging at all. I just use an external battery charger for S5 batteries since my S5's USB port broke. I rotate 3 batteries and it usually takes them around 2 hours to charge.

There's a reason Prius's use nickel metal hydride, they can charge near instantly. Li-ions, though, can store more per weight/size, but charge slower and die quicker. The only way to make tesla's viable is to supercharge, killing the batteries, but warranty replacements on batteries is the only way musk's electric car dream can become real (That and him depending on 95% of Tesla owners just driving them inner city at 30mph and trickle charging them at work/home) Tis why they TRIED with battery swapping, so they could quietly take bad packs out of circulation, and also make it 100x easier to perform warranty replacements on batteries once tesla's become abundant.
Joseph Sullivan
>There's a reason Prius's use nickel metal hydride >Prius's use nickel metal hydride >use nickel metal hydride
Colton Davis
Oh hush. They're just used as cheap capacitors, storing energy when you come to a stop, and releasing it when you take off, nothing more.
Jace Edwards
Probably you got chink fake batteries, almost all the ones from ebay and Amazon are fake and look almost perfectly identical to the genuine samsung ones.
Cooper Howard
quick charge is bad for batteries
Joseph Lee
>they can charge near instantly. In what reality does NiMH charge faster than Li-ion?
