>I call SUSE the secret Linux, because it's the most advanced Linux distribution, but hardly anyone seems to know about it.

Is she right?
Should I download SUSS right now!?

it does seem like it has been forgotten in recent times.

>most advanced
No it isn't.
You can try it, its not much different from Fedora and the developers decided it make it more awkward to use by changing basic UX/UI stuff like using the word Abort instead of Cancel.
Fedora actually has more useful features for me personally (boot flags which let you dictate how the hard drive is recognised for example). I tried Opensuse and didn't find anything drastically better than Fedora or Ubuntu. Plus both of those have way way better support than suse. This bitch vagene is trying to argue that obscure is an advantage but for a Linux distro that is really not the case at all. The bigger well known distros have far better support and bigger communities.

>trusting a german

Linux is a kernel. You may already use it in your Android.

>This bitch vagene is trying to argue that obscure is an advantage but for a Linux distro that is really not the case at all.
I'd have thought she was talking about how SUSE provides a GUI for OS snapshots through BtrFS and tie it into their package manager for transactional updates. But I'm glad you're here to set the record straight.

> most advanced Linux distribution
> can't wake up my PC from suspend state with a Bluetooth mouse/keyboard like I have been able to in Windows for years

>HID devices powered on in sleep

Holy shit.

What makes a distro more advanced that the rest? They all bundle the same packages or have an easy way to install them from their package manager.

>m-my s-shitty lunix quirk is a f-feature!

Extremely stable rolling releases, Yast some.people love it I hate it ,community based official packages are available directly through the package manager.

>trusting a distro thats almost as old as linux itself

>Extremely stable rolling releases
So staying with older versions of the packages you bundle.
>Yast
What? Is that the package manager? Why does it matter
>Community based official packages
As in every other distro out there?

Ultimately a distro is just a collection of packages. Free packages every other distro can use. Unless your distro makes changes to them and don't share them back to upstream, or had it's own closed source packages, then it is just exactly like the rest.

You sound like a ME defender.

>no snapd on the official distribution

openSUSE is utter garbage.

How's it like being retarded?

>software.opensuse.org/package/snapd

>Please be aware that the following packages are from unofficial repositories. That means they are not reviewed by openSUSE and may contain unstable or experimental software.

Maybe next time read my post more carefully you fucking faggot.

>This package contains the official build, endorsed by snapd developers. It is updated as soon as new upstream releases are made and is designed to live in the system:snappy repository.

Just keep crying, you're getting the vanilla build.

openSUSE is the most Windows like Linux distro I have ever seen. Whether that's a good thing is up to you.

>tfw openpepe just werks

All linux distros have some deal breaker shit that makes them fucking garbage, there is not a single distro that doesn't suffer from this.

In the case of openSUSE is the fact that you have to unplug your Ethernet cable during installation to be able to set your hostname and avoid ending up with an awful hostname that you can't change later because thanks systemd and all those awful changes now there is a bug that doesn't let you CHANGE THE FUCKING HOSTNAME

Germans have worst quality when it comes to tech. Man, just kill me. They also have cringeworthy humor and are absolutely disgusting in every way

>inb4 loonix shills delegitimize that legit complaint for their autistic fanboism

GNU/Linux*

man hostnamectl

...

much simpler than editing a text file, thank lord poeterring

This is usually a BIOS/UEFI-controlled feature, sounds like whatever higher-level bluetooth interface you're using disconnects all devices before the computer goes into S3.
