If you want help:
>State the budget & CURRENCY for your build
>List your uses, e.g. Gaming, Video Editing, VM Work
>For monitors, include purpose (e.g., photoediting, gaming) and graphics card pairing (if applicable)

CPUs:
>NO i5 7500/7600K or i7 7700/K. THEY ARE DEFUNCT AND SUPERSEDED BY COFFEE LAKE
>G4560/G4600 for non-gaming (light tasks) or bare minimum gaming builds with a dedicated graphics card
>R3 1200 - Budget builds (best with OC + fast RAM)
>R5 1600 / i5 8400 - Great gaming or multithreaded use CPUs
>R7 / Used Xeon / Threadripper / i7 - Heavy Multi-Tasking / VM Work / Mixed use

RAM:
>Current CPUs benefit from high speed RAM; 3000-3200 MHz is ideal
>Before buying RAM for Ryzen, check your Mobo's QVL or look for user reports

Graphics cards:
>Consider Vega 56 for a Freesync monitor
>Crypto-Currency miners have driven GPU prices up (particularly Radeon)
1080p
>GTX 1050Ti and 3GB 1060 are the only reasonably priced cards; 6GB 1060 or 4GB 580 if you want to overpay a little
>GTX 1070 if you're looking for very high (100+) framerates and you have a CPU and monitor to match
1440p
>GTX 1070/Ti and 1080 are standard choices; currently overpriced
>GTX 1080Ti if you're looking for very high (100+) framerates and you have a CPU and monitor to match
2160p (4K)
>GTX 1080Ti

General:
>PLAN YOUR BUILD AROUND YOUR MONITOR IF GAMING
>A 240GB or larger SSD is almost mandatory; consider m.2 form factor

no bully

Whoops indeed OP
Nothing to bully you for, I do this every month

planning on selling my 1700x + 1080ti + 1440p 165hz build for a 1600 + rx580 and 1080p 144hz pc.

Roast me :))

That's just retarded
You'll barely get any money from that

Why though?

I don't need all this fancy shit honestly

newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA68V21E0640
Any other coolers that are better around the same price?

No, that's a really good deal.

Am I a retard if I want to buy a Vega 64 at over $700 at it's current price if I want to use it primarily not for gaming and more for other stuff + mining on the side to make back my money?

There are 4 cards in stock which I can buy one of right now at my local Frys.

Mining got you into this mess
You're digging your own grave at this point

where you live? I'm considering buying a prebuilt.

Norway

Will it work with my 370 taichi, pcpartpicker is telling that it might have some issues.

built a computer on Monday. $1500 and haven't turned it on since Thursday.

Fuck

I haven't mined but if I'm going to get something for OpenCL, it would be nice to get one of these and be able to offset what I am buying with mining. But it's still a pretty hefty sum, and I haven't decided if I want to go 1080/1080 Ti instead but you can't really mine with them as fast to make back your money as fast as Vega will supposedly. Just wondering if it makes sense to buy Vega now or if it's still overpriced for everyone except 24/7 miners.

Yes, it doesn't include am4 mounting kit. Look at the NH-U12S AM4

or NH-D15 AM4

inb4 muh color scheme

Either way, your card will deteriorate faster than you make money off of it.
Plus, the 1080ti for the same price is better at everything, including mining.
1x8 is better for upgradability, but how does that allow you to use m.2?

Most manufacturers will send AM4 brackets for free.

i just deleted my ram post because i just realised that the ssd doesnt go in the fucking DIMM im a dickhead

We all make mistakes sometimes, and with DIMM.2 being a real thing on TR4 I almost don't blame you.

If you would be me, would you actually change something in this build? Im just curious.

I would overclock
Possibly an SSD with more capacity.

Then the dark rock would be the best choice then?

Because it's on sale, yes.

Can anybody recommend some power surge protectors and flash drives.

my motherboard only has one PCI-E anyway :(
uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/rzPKyf

You have 15 seconds to justify why you are not running a custom loop at the current prices.

Thanks anons

Anyone have experience with a Corsair 450D case?

I can only get one 140mm fan in the top shroud, but there's room for another, or 3 120mm but I can't make the fans fit to the mounting holes.

Am I retarded?

There's still an M.2 slot.
Anyway, if you want 2 PCI-e buses you can get the Pro4 version for £8 more.

does this coolermaster am4 bracket work with the hyper t4

oh shit there is thanks

That's not a custom loop, and it's cheap because of aluminium parts, which are inferior.

The T4 should come with AM4 compatability out-of-the-box. At least that's what Cooler Master's AM4 page told me.
It's not custom, but it does use the same parts as custom ones do.
Downside of being all aluminum is that you have to exchange everything to go copper.

gpu upgrade

To 580?

the retention bracket they gave thats supposedly am4 compatible is fucking ass, it worked fine with am3+ but when i try to use it on am4 its ridiculously hard to install and near impossible to remove. had no problems using it for am3+ before however

forget pic

There's no point

halp

To the user with the similar setup last thread, here's my actual setup completed Friday.
pcpartpicker.com/list/dnTpqk

no to a 1070/56 or better

Quick, best motherboard/gpu/cpu and maybe ddr4 ram if I need it for arma 3. Max budget is 400.

Pic related is my PC now.

Blyat Gopnik!

What is the best PC stick under 100€

>be european
>everything is expensive as fuck
This sucks

Ryzen 1200 and Pro4 for $175
8GB of memory for $80
1050ti for the rest

What the fuck, are things really that cheap in the US

Live in Europe, looking for a mATX mobo for my build:
Ryzen 7 1700
Sapphire NITRO+ RX 580 8gb
Fractal Design Define Mini C

Currently found this:
msi.com/Motherboard/A320M-GAMING-PRO.html#productFeature-section

But I don't need the gaming aesthetics that much. I don't plan to overclock (at least right now) and probably will try to get 3000 mhz ram at some point. m.2 slot availability is required and probably gonna use 1-2 sata ssd's. Will also get a PCI wifi card as well (ASUS AC56).

I'm building my PC tomorrow, but I just need to figure out one more thing.

I'm sure this gets asked a lot, I know how to activate Win10, but I'm still iffy about it. Can I really trust the tool to simply activate my copy without any shady shenanigans? What do you guys trust?

What brand for 1050ti? Any info on build as well?

Thanks in advance.

I've used KMSPico, you can find a download link on the official thread on Mydigitalife, it's safe.

So I'm in the process of wiring up my front end connections to my motherboard and have run into a small issue one of the cables.

The cable is labeled HDaudio and my mobo has a designated slot where hdaudio is supposed to go apparently, but the way the missing pin placed is on the motherboard means that I have to connect it from the top half and only some of the pins are actually connected.
Of the 9 pins and 9 connectors only 5 can go in and the rest are left hanging. The PCI-e slot that's right next to the frontend connector doesn't give me enough clearance to flip it for more connections and less hanging.

Will it all still work or am I out of luck?

>KMSPico,
You're the 4th person to suggest this, so I'm gonna trust it. Thanks

I would do this:

Video card is super cheap for some reason. It's a two-fan but cheaper than all the single-fans so I'd buy now.
Yes apparently

Wait, which R9 200 card do you have? You probably don't need to upgrade it

Nigga just pay $10 to some ebay keyresellers.

This is dangerous please don't compromise your build with dodgy third party software and illegal implications. Buy your copy legally through the app store or in an official licensed retail store.

This looks to good to be true, how much of a probability that it's a scam

Did you just buy the 8700k and a 1070 for a 60hz monitor

I don't know how it couldn't be

It's a legit key. What is dodgy is how it was acquired but if it goes through you are g2g

I should get this one right?

uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/TV4YVY
It's me again

post your ryzen post times

looking good

Fans?

>tfw want dual channel RAM but that $50 stick you bought 6 months ago is now $120+ if you can even find it in stock
This is not okay.

been using kmspico on my moms cheap ass laptop ad the thing runs fine.

find a legit download tho, there might be some crapped up malware out there

Yea, I might buy another monitor. I just wanted a decent IPS for the accurate colors.

You damn better otherwise you just wasted $375

tfw on 2x4 2933 and want to eventually up to 16GB

I don't look forward to that day

Even so, not really. I'm pretty much guaranteed to never dip below 60fps now matter how many tasks i'm running, like streaming.

Do I have to buy a motherboard that supports OC if I want to run my RAM at it's maximum speed than what the mobo allowed?

want to build pc for christmas, been collecting discount parts for the last few weeks

got one 8g 3000 mhz stick for 75€ instead of 100€ the other day.

fucking smartphone fags

...

...

superior liquid cooling tho

direct contact beats all

Honestly, is 520 too much to spend on a graphics card? I am not even that nerdy but I kind of want the 1080 anyway. Yet, I might feel embarrassed to spend that much.

So your only argument against custom loop cooling is you're bad at miniature plumbing?

At 1440p maybe
You will hit twice that and maybe more
Giant waste when you could have gone ryzen and a 1060

you could wait for some disount price to pop up.

i would buy one if it would cost 450-500

is kool-aid a good coolant?

if am4 will be compatible all the way to 2020, does that mean the shit ram support with carry

144Hz Freesync 2 monitor

Sweet build. How's that monitor?

I don't think you have enough money to buy anything more than a sidegrade, really. You're already at 1050Ti tier, so you'd have to get a 1060 to see any graphics power improvement and a mobo+CPU+DDR4 will cost you over the remaining $200 in your budget. If you sold the old stuff you might be able to make it happen

Why do you need the 1700? I've heard some RAM incompatibility stories with MSI AM4 boards so I'd choose a different brand like ASRock

Get Microsoft Toolkit from a reputable source

You still need to upgrade the PSU to 500-550W with two 6+2 pin power connectors

Your question is incomprehensible

3x NF-A14, and 2x that fan that came with the define s
Color could be better, but I know what I paid for. Silky smooth tho.

Test
This thread is slow af right now

>Color could be better
What's wrong with the color?

So I have to decide between the i7 7700k and the 7820x
But I see in OP that 7700k is not recommended, should I just go big?
Im already going to buy a mobo to match it and 32gb ddr4 for the full upgrade, problem is that the new intel CPU's are completely out of stock everywhere from what I see

When do you think these will finally be available? seems like it might be a while

Hopefully this will help someone who is using MSI smart tool to install windows 7 on ryzen either now or later on the archive. It offers two options, use iso image and add usb drivers. You need to do both, one after another, otherwise drivers wont be added and you'll get a missing drivers error in Windows install. I thought the use iso image would automatically include usb drivers, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Weird UI quirk, dont know why they would separate the options if everyone downloading it needs usb drivers

looks washed out. Could be calibration problems.

Coffee Lake will be in stock within a week or two. Just be ready when they show up. They're usually out of stock a half hour later on newegg

i built a pc now need games. are there any good mmos to play? I've been playing POE and enjoying it.
casual mmos can fuck off

So in that case would you say it would be good to grab a Skylake 7820x now, or chance it on the coffee lake chips when they are in stock? Probably the i7 8700k if I can grab one fast enough

researching around Im seeing that they have some compatibility issues with older 1151 mobo's and they current boards are a bit more expensive to socket them, but the skylake is also like 200 dilladongers more
Actually there are some 8700k in stock right now for $400

>they have some compatibility issues with older 1151 mobos
That's an understatement. They don't work on LGA 1151v1, which means any 100 or 200 series chipset.

Doesn't sound like you know what you're doing at all

coffee lake has regularly been in stock for a while now, every day or two they come up, and on amazon right now all the K processors are in stock

Thanks for the info. Honestly I don't really follow whether they're in stock at the moment but I know the i5 8400 is out of stock right now and has been for a week on newegg.

>Doesn't sound like you know what you're doing at all
Thats an understatement.
but Its not like im going to just buy $2000 worth of stuff without planning first
