What is the point of this state?
What is the point of this state?
I'm directly decended from the guy who founded Gary.
There isn't.
Its a mistake.
It's full of amish, ass-backwards hicks, KKKs, and southern sympathizers.
containment
Indiana was a mistake
why are there so many rivers in usa o_O
surpisibgly, Indianapolis its a pretty big city, I always thought it was a small shitty city nobody gives a fuck about...
they're like stretch marks. Really makes you think huh
>being proud that your forefather founded a depressing shithole
It's a big trailer park really.
Worst Great Lakes state.
They don't even have our accent.
I'm not proud whatsoever
somehow being even worse than the rest of the midwest
Neither does Ohio.
Northern Ohio does.
tornado breeding grounds
>You will never live in a cozy northern state
Sure you will.
Go to anywhere in the UpperMidwest, there are Asians.
Or just go to Toronto, it'll be just like home.
I forgot about that. Everywhere else in that state that I've been to has that fucked up Hoosier accent.
I just had a massive Mandela Effect right now. I always thought Indiana was in the south like a round Arkansas or some shit holy fuck
Might be confusing it for Oklahoma
You are right, Clevelanders like myself are easily recognized by accent
It's the second largest city proper in the American Midwest, but at the same time it's in Indiana.
indiana is not /cozy/
I've lost count of how many times people from other countries have asked me if Indiana is the south.
Smoking inside bars at least back in 2012.
Only Wisconsin is cozy.
A setting for a pretty good TV show
Essentially when Ohio broke off from the Northwest Territory to be its own state, the remainder was called "Indiana Territory" since a lot of the land was stilled owned by the Indians at the time. Apparently the southeastern part of that territory was populated enough to be its own state, so it was admitted and the rest was split between the Michigan and Illinois territories.
wisconsin is a lot of things but not cozy
Upper Michigan is pretty cozy.
>borders of africa and us are square
Jared Fogle too my dudes
You're just stupid and have a shitty memory. No matrix here.
I love these threads where americans think they are different from one another.
Culturally yes, Geographically no. Northwest Indiana is essentially Chicago suburbs (some poor like Gary, others pretty well-off like Crown Point), while the rest of the state is essentially North Kentucky.
Too many minorities in that picture for it to be in Indiana.
Are you calling me a fucking yankee
Because it reminds you of Denmark and Germany?
Kinda like Alberta which is North Texas
We are different from one another. Not as much as europeans, but there are differences. If we perceive ourselves as different, then we are.
Since you're a foreigner you can't see the slight differences that we pick up on. It's like thinking all chinks are the same.
I love that banter where Scandis think they are different from one another.
Literally germany but under a different name.
Yeah, pretty much, with the slight exception that Indiana does indeed touch the South. Since you bring up Oil states/provinces, there's a massive refinery in Northwest Indiana.
...
There's no fucking difference between Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
basketball.... um....
What are you doing nigga? I was proclaiming a genuine statement.
You don't want to
its part of my drive from Louisville to Saint Louis.
There's no fucking difference between North Italy and South Italy.
That's right.
half of the USA is just as boring and empty so why make fun of Indiana specifically
Best state for methhead Cletuses
There's no difference between Sweden and Somalia
>i know more about your country than you do
That's just plain rude. Apologize.
college basketball
This 2bh
There's no difference between Canada and Canada
I drove through Indiana last week to get to Chicago and it was full of Confederate flags. What are they trying to convey?
For NEETs to ask questions
>it was full of Confederate flags
I'm guessing it's Southerners who moved there for the manufacturing jobs
In the South
>Muh heritage
In the North
>I hate niggers
Land for planes to fly over and space for overflowing suburbanites from chicago, cinci, and louisville
US cities are weird
Don't confuse cities with large land area and little to no suburbs for actual major cities
looking at metro area is more appropriate. city populations proper are subject to often meaningless borders and their influence goes way beyond the legal technicality.
Indianapolis' border is that of an entire county whereas most real major cities are just a fraction of that.
it's very misleading.
For example, my city has only about 350,000 people in it's borders, but if it were the same geographic size of Indianapolis it would be well over 1,000,000
it's a much more important city than Indianapolis too.c
