How do you make linux not look like W98?

How do you make linux not look like W98?

Is there any guide to make linux have fucking eye diabetes?

>muh rice!!!
Please explain why you felt a new thread was justified for asking this?

You can try Pop_OS from System76 which is basically pre-riced Ubuntu Gnome. Otherwise you should rice it yourself by looking up themes and stuff, or you can stop giving a fuck about what shape the window buttons are and use your computer as tool.

Ubuntu looks perfectly fine though, just use that and stop being gay

If you word for word type your first sentence into google, you get more information than you'd get from Sup Forums.

fucks sake. use /sqt/ at least

Try using a distro with a modern desktop instead of cherry picking windows shill.

By not installing lubuntu out of all things, retard.

To do that it would first have to actually look like Windows 98.

Linux is a kernel. You can't make it look like anything.

by making it look like win95 instead

install gentoo and rice that to oblivion

Install GNU

Gross
How do we REMOVE Gnome from existence?

every linux DE looks like shit, so better get back to windows 10

>not intentionally theming your DE to look like classic windows
it's like you don't have any taste

Why are you complaining about a DE thats purpose is to be light on system resources? Literally just install KDE 5 or whatever Elementary OS uses or something

maximum comfy

>How do you make linux not look like W98?

Don't use LXDE or Cinnamon. Try KDE, XFCE, Budgie or Gnome.

95% there but the spacing is fucked up.
I assume is also looks shit if you open any other application.

>95% there but the spacing is fucked up.
>I assume is also looks shit if you open any other application.
whats wrong with the spacing?
what application do you think will look shit?
well gtk app ui elements like buttons or sliders and scrollbars are not looking like this if you meant that

Try the stupid questions thread brainlet

does it look like that to you?
I think it looks good except for synaptic

/thread

Ubuntu 17.04
yes

Ubuntu 17.10
no

This

get unity DE

By installing a DE you like and customizing you absolute fucking moron. Why do we STILL get these threads?

Not OP but I have a couple questions:
1) What theme is that?
2) What kde package on debian do I have to install?
3) Will it install systemd on my laptop?

This
What the fuck, how new to have to be to make this thread

Or stop being a tool and discontinue the use of a DE at all. Their only purpose is to slow you down.

why don't distro communities hire designers to make a decent DE?

I've had no GUI for weeks now. Framebuffer does the magic.

>GTK not looknig right
This might help
gnome-look.org/p/1013484/

install adapta GTK theme.
install papirus icons theme.

there. you're done.

This is why Linux is dead. How do spergs like this even function?

Nice GTK file chooser dialog FAGGOT. Is it the year of the Linux desktop yet?

install xfce, autohide panels, install osx style dock (plank/docky), install decent theme, install decent icon theme, install good cursor

this distro is called Q4OS
based on: Debian 9
DE: Trinity DE (fork of KDE 3.5)
and I downloaded a custom theme called XPQ4 that is designed specifically for this distro
xpq4.sourceforge.net/
you'll have to customize it a bit to look a bit more like the actual windows classic theme. For example the little spacer between the close button and the maximize button is not there by default for some reason, and the size of the taskbar is set to minimum and the icon size of the traybar is also set to minimum
pstree -p shows systemd on the top

Install arc-theme
Install papirus icon

You're done

There are no Linux DEs, only Linux kernels.

>linux kernels
you mean linux kernel?

Define "decent".
Or does it mean "wasted space galore, black-n-white coloring, shiny web experience™ flatshit"?
Then fuck off along with the cum guzzling faggot OP.
