Go Go Go Go!
Deepin or Gnome

Both succ
Deepin is just GNOME with zero customization yet somehow slower.
GNOME is the obvious winner.
The last 2 times I've tried KDE it spazzed out on me. Last time (Antergos) I couldn't even use right click.
isn't Deepin chinese botnet?

Then how come you can have category view in DEEPIN and not in Gnome? How come you can switch between dock-mode and taskbar mode with the main dock in DEEPIN? HMMMM???
...you can do both of those in GNOME.
There is literally no reason to use these aside from shiddy hardware and "muh nostalgia"
Neither, you should try Elementary OS. It is like Mac OS, but pretty. It is easy to use and works out of the box.
Also big thumbnails in file picker
>switch between taskbar/panel to dock-mode
NOPE. Ain't there. Liar
>switch between category view and all view
Manually putting things into your own little ios-style appbox isn't category mode. Liar
One is a distro the other is a DE though
While I don't like Gnome at least it uses Wayland by default now.
Both are DE's. Deepin's DE is more tightly integrated with its distro
>2017
>no proper thumbnails in Gnome's File picker after DECADES of development
Why even live
Is this really true? Am I going to have to use KDE if I make the switch to linux?
no
Gnome because that's what's coming with Ubuntu now.
Ain't care

What are extensions?
GNOME. The other one may disappear tomorrow, GNOME won't go anywhere.
I don't use desktop enviroments anymore, but if I had to choose, I'd probably still go with Gnome because it seems they're the forefront for Wayland support and some other stuff that's going to be implemented, such as VFIO passthrough click'n'play extensions from what I've heard.
On Deepin you can't tell how many windows you have open, that's a huge down-side
No, that's disinfo
Choose the one with a proper ficlepicker
Oh wait.
