LCDs
Portable music players. All the good cheap ones are out of production leaving only expensive DAPs unless you want to buy used.
I bet you have a neckbeard, turbovirgin.
How was the razor better before?
Other then the fact a Gillette type thing is more expensive to maintain, I find they work much better then a double edge or straight blade razor.
Hey I have that exact same razor, there were some Gillette reps giving them away at my uni last year. It's pretty decent
double edges are the meme. takes too much time to get a good shave. the people who defend them fell for the art of manliness crap.
DEs do look cool, but that's about it.
You're just blaming how people use it on the standard. It's objectively better.
Sounds like you never owned a CRT. Even the first LCDs back in the mid 2000s were better.

the internet
>Man, how do those plebs use such things? Why don't they subscribe to Dollar Shave Club like I do?
No it's just that I'm not an autist who spergs out over something as stupid and petty as razors. It's a razor, as long as it works it doesn't really matter, only reddit hipsters actually care about "muh razerbluhde teknalagy!!!!"
I used to use CRTs for fps like quake/cs because it was better than a 60hz monitor, but now that we have better monitors they're just worse.
Harry's is better and cheaper
i can understand why some people use double edges, the blades are cheaper and it probably works fine for them. straight razors are 100% memery though unless you want to be a barber. complete waste of time.
Eh, it was probably placebo. I remember the LCDs looking crisper than my CRT.
...
But the first LCDs were absolute garbage compared to the LCDs we have now. Although LED is better in almost every aspect
I first started shaving with a DE because that's what my dad got me to start out with, even though he uses like gilette razors or some shit. I still use them because it's super cheap to get a pack of like 100 razors from india, and I don't like change.
lolno. I don't want my old flickerboxes back.
Hey dollar shave club is shit razors like the OP
I don't sperg out about it, but safety razors are basically objectively better than cartridge razors. No need to get into fancy creams and shit to get the benefits of a closer and cheaper shave.
That being said, I usually just shave with a knife since I'm lazy piece of garbage and sharpen my knife a lot.
Yeah it was crisper, but CRTs had better refresh rates than early lcds.
anything that requires more skill, effort, or maintenance beyond "drag the razor over places where you don't want hair" is pretty shit to be honest.
Which wasn't really necessary for games at the time. Twitch shooters were pretty much dead with the advent of counter strike and medal of honor.
>closer shave
no, it's not. stop repeating art of manliness bullshit. double edge blades are just cheaper and it takes more effort to get a close shave. that's it.
meant for
It doesn't require more effort than that though. Apply shaving cream, run the razor over your face, wash, done. Literally the same steps as a cartridge razor.
Maybe I've only ever used shitty cartridges but I've never been able to get half as good a shave with a cartridge razor.
inkjet cartridges.

connected iot kitchen wares (fruit squeezer...)
All of them
>Maybe I've only ever used shitty cartridges but I've never been able to get half as good a shave with a cartridge razor.
well then you're just not doing something right.
>Using the same argument that normies do to stay technologically illiterate
Anything that uses "smart" technology (smart refrigerators, smart homes, smart cars, etc.) past Smartphones and maaaybe Smart TVs
Could be. I've always found cartridge razors to be expensive and irritating though so I see no reason to give them another try.
damn you're right i'm going to go buy a straight razor and be a true shavebro

Wrong. Smart TVs are pure shit. I've never had a "dumb" TV crash on me, but I've seen a few Smart TVs crash.
counter strike used to literally be quake with real guns
lmao i dont use a meme razor but do you guys realize how you sound? This is the exact same shit we support on Sup Forums.

FREE SOFTWARE is free and it takes more effort to get your software to work correctly
not taking a side, just pointing it out lol
They were crisper but didn't display deep blacks until LED.
Direct injection. MPI was enough.
Hardly. I remember being a kid and only playing CS, then someone showed me unreal and quake and it looked like they were flying across the map
Don't listen to that faggot. A single good blade will get you the closest shave possible. Or maybe he should go to barbers and tell them to put away the straight razors because clearly the garbage he uses is superior.
The automobile
straight razors are the 'install gentoo' of the razor world, so no, it's not really similar. double edges are at best linux mint.
If only gentoo was as quick and easy
This. Just use a fucking safety razor for Christ's sake.
>there were some Gillette reps giving them away
Standard practice for Gillette.:
- Give away the handle
- Make them pay through their nose for blade replacements.
I buy no-brand blades from my supermarket because they are the same thing for a fraction of the money.
CS didn`t know if it wanted to be Quake, or a Tom Clancy game.
there is a very large difference between the following things, and how you should view them:
>a general-purpose computation device of speed and capacity completely unimaginable only a generation ago, linked to a worldwide network of other such machines
>a sharp piece of metal for scraping hair off your face
Expecting a razor to just werk without thinking is not like expecting a computer to just werk without thinking, its like expecting a hammer to just werk without thinking.
Straight razors are great, I don’t care that it takes longers and is more dangerous, I never have to worry about jerkass roomates stealing my razors.
barbers use a straight razor because it's quick shave when you get good enough. if you actually think what they do is closer than the shave you do for yourself at home, you might be retarded. it's just quicker, that's it. go ahead and spend all the time learning how to use one and you can be just as quick, most people can't be bothered.
The razor plays hardly any role on how well you can shave.
It's all about the soaking.
I suspect straight razors are also more ergonomic when you shave someone else.
When you shave yourself you have a very different angle.
Plus they just are "cool" and make them look like professionals.
This Gilette is comfy as fuck. I highly recommend that, however blades are expensive.
it is more efficient using it on someone else. you have to do a whole bunch of stupid shit to shave yourself with a straight razor properly. just watch some videos on it.
First time I sat in someones Model S I laughed so hard at that retarded shit.
I really hope no proper car manufacturers will copy that crap.
I was advocating a single blade. A safety razor and a straight razor are single bladed.
First couple times you'll definitely be a lot slower, but you get faster.
The art of manliness cult crap is fucking stupid. They find a way to endorse shaving with a harder to use tool AND pay more for it. But buying a 12-15 dollar DE handle, a 2 dollar bar of shaving soap and a cheap pack of DE razors ends up coming out a lot cheaper over time imho. Also, taking your time and doing multiple passes with a DE gets a really nice shave I have trouble replicating with normal 'nice' razors. It also irritates my skin a lot less, and taught me better shaving practices. I will concede however that if I'm in a big hurry or traveling I do keep a few disposables around to use.
Frig of homo. I bought a stack of blades like 4 fucking years ago for $30 and I still havent run out. The shave is a lot smoother and faster then the shit gillette puts out.
Yes, you can buy replica head for the Gillette's on ali.
t. soyboy numale
You will too one day when you get your big boy hair you underage fuck.
Shaving at home is a big big step backwards.
I have my nice beard, that I don't even touch, but my barber every two weeks when I get a haircut as well.
>art of manliness cult
Is that what metrosexuals are called nowadays?
i used the double edge for about 4 months, had irritation on my neck almost every time. dropped it and went back to mach 3. i got memed and it's not happening again. they probably work fine for some people's face but for me they are garbage
>having to see a barber every two weeks
sounds like hell. I recently got a haircut for the first time in two years and that's rather more than I want to see of a barber.
>shaving by yourself is backwards
>having to take 30 minutes out of your day and travel to a barbers so that you can pay someone to shave your own face isn't
>drives an electric toy
>calls others numale
every touch, motion control, and speech interface
Were you using a good soap and covering your face properly?
I got a DE for Christmas and had my first shave this morning following the correct method and only had one small nick.
Lot less irritation than my electric where I'd have to pass over some parts of my neck about 5 times too.
Well obviously it's not for everyone. For the first few weeks I used a DE I had increased irritation also desu. The reality is that shaving isn't a one size fits all kind of thing, different things work better for different people's skin and hair types.
its not like its hard to make one from scratch for less than 50 usd in a week (in case u have some hardware and software skills)
>All the good cheap ones are out of production leaving only expensive DAPs unless you want to buy used.
chink DAPs are pretty good and inexpensive.
You need to learn how read nigger.
>maaaybe Smart TVs
smart TVs exist because people don't know how to connect actually "smart" (has features) devices to their TVs. even after all this time an actual PC is still the best thing you can have your TV connected to. HTPC for life.
The barber shop is literally 3 minutes away if I walk slowly.
Had to cut my own hair enough times, I don't want to do it anymore.
It's not that much compared to what those 5 blade meme razors cost and is done better and cleaner than if I did it myself. Have I mentioned that my fades would look shit if I left them to grow for 4 weeks ? So it's a must anyways.
>fades
I use an electric, a store-brand 5 blade cartridge, and a DE razor and have had all three for about 3 years now.
The electric is great as a trimmer, obviously, and a pre-stage for actually shaving.
The only thing store brand cartridges lack are more ergonomic design and head rotation, its worth the price drop.
The DE is outrageously cheap going forwards and you dont need to meme yourself into bar creams or expensive lathers.
Half the time I just wet my face anymore, sometimes just shave dry. Never had an issue with bumps or irritation
I don't know what you're doing wrong, you might be a nasty fuck who shares blades or flushes the toilet with the lid open or doesn't ever wash your face.
No, you need to read the OP
>flushes the toilet with the lid open
>he flushes the toilet
easy there teddy
I don't even know what they are but I'm sure they are important in the gay community.
>picture unrelated
Modern day razors are absolutely amazing as an actual shaving implement. You can bash them against your face half drunkenly and still get a good shave. Try that with a safety razor and you will need heavy duty plastic surgery to reconstruct your face. The problem with modern razors is the price.
>The problem with modern razors is the price
they weren't always as expensive as they are now. once (((they))) got involved everything changed
Only the big brands are expensive.
Same as pretty much anything you buy in the supermarket.
multiple blades tear the hair out, never again
no they don't, that's if you shave against the grain, doesn't matter if it's a muli blade or single
/thread
Gillette 3-blade razors are only about $1.75 a cartridge which is fine in my opinion. Last 10 days or so but can easily push them to 3-4 weeks if you're desperate and dont bend the blades.
Even the 5+1 blade ones are only $2.5 ea. Really not a big cost.
>using razors
Why?
>I find they work much better then a double edge or straight blade razor.
The best shaves of my life have been using a straight razor. The safety razor just doesn't shave close enough, though you can come close if you want to do multiple passes in different directions. The straight razor will make you feel as smooth as a baby's rectum. Of course, they're a lot more work: strop, sharpen, learn how to use properly, use shaving soap, etc. I only use the straight razor for date nights, but it's still a vastly superior shave than my expensive Gillette safety razor. I would encourage you to go to your barber and get a shave with a straight razor and see how awesome it is.
>you can bash them against your face half drunkenly and still get a good shave
>He thinks that is a good shave
Get a double edged safety razor and it's faster, smoother and massively cheaper. There's no downside whatsoever if you're not a huge sperg that can't use one without cutting your own throat, and even that's not a downside in your case.
Straights are more accurate, you can see exactly where you're shaving. Safety razors have a lot of unnecessary fuckhueg plastic parts around the blades.
>shave with grain
>then go back over the same area, against the grain
this is how you make a knockoff razor cartridge last two months without tearing your face up
>le joo brackets
how is this even relevant?
>unnecessary
that's the "safety" part of them
>more accurate, you can see exactly where you're shaving.
You have a curly handlebar mustache, huh?
