i used to have a desk which had a sliding wood panel underneath the keyboard tray which you could pull out to either side and put your mouse on

when you've got the keyboard tray tucked underneath the desk the panel slides back in

pro tip - never buy gayman chairs. Best not to buy gaming anything, I know, but chairs will actually hurt you in the long run. This beauty here has a sliding lumbar support which, once adjusted, will keep supporting the correct part of your spine regardless of how far back you lean (it stays in a fixed position relative to your back)

I've had a DxRacer and boy did I fuck up. The "cushions" they give for head and back are extremely thick, and slide around if you lean back (not to mention that the fucking lumbar one felt like it was trying to give me fucking lordosis). Heavens forbid you get this shitty "leather" finish, as your ass will sweat a small sea halfway into a warmer day. Additionally the shape makes no sense, as intense PC usage does not expose you to lateral acceleration of several Gs so that you need protection of a jet pilot seat. Never did I buy anything that made feel so retarded, but I stuck with it, up until the point when I started experiencing severe back pain after a couple of years.

Never again user, never again. Gayming chair might be better than what your grandma borrowed you from the kitchen, but it still hurts you, especially if you ditch lumbar support like I did.

hmm, mines car seat material so not fake lather. it's been 2 years with no lumbar support and im still pretty fine - i sit back at an angle though

That's how I was sitting, it really WILL get bad user. I know noone listens to health advice when they are in good health (which is ironic as this is the moment where you can get the most out of it). Pain hit me at 29 and I could not sit for more than an hour. Thank god it ended when I changed my chair.

If you are strapped for cash, get yourself one of those fuckers. Costs a couple of bucks and helps.

Still, first big paycheck you should really consider getting a proper chair. Health is one area where you don't want to underinvest.
