>Total Ratio: 1.275
If you have a ratio less than 3.0 you should probably kill yourself

Well that depends, if it has plenty of seeders then no, but if it's good and honestly needs more seeds I'll help out for a little bit

I only seed the original spice girls album and blacked porn.

>he still uses uTorrent

2.2.1 of course

Enjoy your vulnerabilities

:(

You're what's the problem with the world of IT. Please grow up and change your torrent client

Guess I should update to the latest botnet version

which one do you recommend? (windows lel)

qbittorrent or transmission

>qbittorrent
thanks

literally never seeded in my life
every time i torrent something i cap the upload to 1kb/s

>not setting max seed queues to 0 and an upload speed of 25 KB/s per torrent so it seeds minimally while downloading and then automatically stops when the file is complete

Some torrent clients force a minimum share ratio value of 0.50 (Deluge and qBittorrent) so I do this method. Setting to 1 KB/s just ruins your download speed. 25 KB/s is modest enough to not trigger the protocol to shred your leech speed.

How to know whether a client force the ratio or not?

it's pretty hard with bakabt desu my ratio is shit since no one fucking downloads anything literally dont wanna download anything else off their incase i get my account purged have about 10 torrents seeding for 2 months not and my ratio is only at 0.125 because no one downloads. I usually seed to a ratio of 5 though from other places

;)

>bakabt
Easiest way to get a better ratio is probably to download free leach stuff and let them seed.

Just check the magnet urls before entering them, what's the problem?

hai but still no one downlaods anything i even got some of the popular torrents and even on those there will be like 2 leechers to 100 seeders so you hardly get to upload anything, i'll try it though since i really wanna keep my account

i seed my torrents up to a ratio of 10 for public trackers

:D

>suggesting qbittorrent to unsuspecting anons who want a stable/robust torrent client

Setting it to 25kB/s doesn't mean you won't get choked very often..you're still limiting your DL speed when you throttle your own UL speed.
Thankfully there's a thing in the bittorrent protocol called reciprocation.
Your upload rate is low, you're gonna get choked.

wtf i hate torrents now

my desktop at home has been seeding a couple torrents for years now. i have multiple terabytes uploaded for each.

:^)

Of course I have

It works even if you copy and paste the URL

But I do.

I have three other seedboxes that autosnatch everything that's currently airing and then seed for 96 hours. Job fires every 60 minutes that deletes everything older than 96 hours, because these other boxes only have 3TB~ storage.

Anything I want to watch is played through an sshfs mount via mpv.

Why not fire the job every 10 minutes and only delete from the oldest torrents just enough to keep 30gb free disk space?

Didn't think the upload would be that high... especially since I limit it to 4MB/s up.

if I wanted to work for free seeding torrents I'd join a private tracker

Don't really want to tax the server or put any real work into figuring something out, I guess. Most days there's only 350~ daily releases, which is something like 500GB~ average. Four days of that is 2TB, which leaves 650GB~ free for the odd days of big releases and the reported/removed torrents that I have no real way to automatically remove easily unless I write a plugin myself which I'm not really interested in doing.

Plus, leaving only 30GB free would really fuck me on big days like Sunday/Monday/Wednesday as there are more than 30GB of releases in a single hour (figure 6GB/show/hour with all of the different qualities and sources, which is only 5 networks to break it).

what gtk theme is that

That won't be an issue if you don't preallocate torrents. If you download a torrent, as it's downloading the space will be used up, and when the automated script fires it will clear out the oldest ones until there's enough free space.

Checking usage on the disk would be nearly instantaneous. You could fire the script every minute even and then set the minimum free space to an even smaller amount.

Sure, but why bother? Releases come in regular intervals (these autosnatch servers are ONLY for television show releases), this clears everything out that isn't in danger of being counted as a H&R, and I still have storage buffer to spare. I get a snatch count, get more GBP, and I get 24 hours of extra seed time per torrent appended to my total. Job is rock solid, all of my other scripts are rock solid, and I can fire a single command to install the same setup to as many servers as I want.

The only "problem" is that the torrents that are no longer tracked aren't removed instantly, which hasn't really mattered yet because they're still removed with everything else at that 96 hour mark which hasn't overrun the 600GB~ buffer yet.

Cause the only limit is storage space which your auto clearing script isn't really based off, it's just based off a guessed calculation that is nowhere accurate and you're not fully utilizing the device.

I seed all my torrents to a 10:1 ratio
any reason to not do this when i have the bandwith?

>only limit is storage space
>not fully utilizing the device
These autosnatch servers aren't for longterm seeding, just for rank grinding; the image of the other server is for longterm seeding/sharing. Final rank is 35,000 snatches with 250,000 days of total seedtime, and I'm only required to seed each single episode release torrent for 72 hours to avoid a H&R. So, per torrent I'm getting a snatch and minimum plus a day total seedtime and my autodl filters are wide open for anything that matches 1080p/720p.

Since shows come in regular intervals per season at certain times per day, I can set this zero logic job to fire once in awhile to make sure that I never run into trouble in terms of storage (which would halt my rtorrent process if I ran out of space). This doesn't miss a single release, keeps things running without fail, and doesn't tax me or the server at all. There isn't a single reason to make this any more complex, it just works.

I do have one secondary job firing on the server that archives, encrypts, and rclones all 1080p releases to someone's shared gdrive/AWS instance so they can share that with others to watch on plex.

There's never any reason to limit yourself to a ratio. Seed what you want for however long you want, especially on public stuff.

1000kBps upload throttle.
Torrent upload limited to 8.0 ratio.

For me anything over 2.0 is "good enough".
I don't use private trackers though

>Total Ratio:
0.07

>But I do.
Thank you, kind user. Us burgers without VPN's would be lost without your generosity. I never seed for reasons of survival rather than selfishness, if it ever becomes possible, I swear, I'll reciprocate.

It works on .torrent files as well.

why?
there is nothing wrong with uploading, you know?

bakabt should be like animebytes in that regard
never can improve my shit ratio (from when it was public) because everything is already seeded with tons of people
can never seem to get anyone to download from me either

...

hai it's aids desu i dont understand how a good ratio is achievable on a private tracker unless you are uploading new media or only downloading one torrent every couple of months

Stay mad private tracker cucks

Doesn't affect anything except some 3.x version.

many torrents already completed but with no leeches

You're just pushing the good seeders to private trackers and hurting yourself. The more bandwidth others have to use on torrents you could be seeding, the less they have for the rest.

I seed

wath

It’s in the settings. You can set to stop seeding after a share ratio has been achieved, and some clients will only go down to 0.50. qBittorrent will let you type in a ratio but if you set it to 0.49 or lower it will autocorrect to 0.50 and won’t let you save any less. Config file values are ignored too if it’s under 0.50. So setting your “max torrents seeding” value to 0 gets around this.

I understand that, but I get very acceptable speeds with that value (back when I had 60mbps bandwidth I could max it out if the seeds were good), and any less you’ll basically get throttled by everyone to less than 2mbps. At least in my experience that’s what happened. So I settled with 25, as it seemed to be the value that uploaded almost nothing but provided minimal throttling.

...

I'd post my stats but I can't remote into my rutorrent server at the moment

>total seeded by uTorrent users ITT: 148.9TB
>total seeded by qBitttorrent users: 2.4TB
The stalling is real.

>total botnet amounts:
>uTorrent - 100%
>qBittorrent - 0%

>installs a 20MB torrent client when it only needs 391k
>thinks he isn't botted

I audited the source code.

Then why didn't you fix it?

Fix what? I audited the source code and found no botnet. What’s there to fix?

>pirate everything from MEGA and dozens of other DDL filehosts
>pirated terabytes of stuff without ever seeding a single megabyte
>also blocking all ads so the filehosts get nothing

suck it torrentcucks

>Total ratio: 0
stop me

>host takes content down
>plx sum1 maek anoda link
go bait somewhere else

My upload is so bad its not even worth it. I wish my isp offered better upload speeds. I feel like I would just end up being an annoyance, who the fuck wants to connect to someone seeding at

Anyone.
I've downloaded Blu-rays from a single seed at 20KB/s. Sure it takes months, but it's better than nothing.

i'd rather have 1-2 seeders at 20-40kb/s than none at all.

I leave uploads on, but I close my torrent program after I'm done downloading my shit. If you've ever connected to some obscure torrent, and had 1 seed @70~kb/s that just disappeared and came back periodically, it was probably me, and Im sorry

it's better than nothing.

I've had some torrents where i've been waiting months for a seeder to show up again.

13.6GB in of a 40GB download after 5 months is just depressing. Especially when the last seeder was 2-3 months ago

assuming your ISP uses base 10, and kbps instead of kb/s:
100kbps = (1000 * 100) bps = 100000 bps
1min => (60 * 100000) B = 6000000 B
1h => (60 * 60 * 100000) B = 360000000 B
1day => (24 * 60 * 60 * 100000) B = 8640000000 B
8640000000 B = 8640000 KB = 8640 MB = 8.640 GB
which is equal to 8.04 GiB
thats quite a lot, for such seemingly low speed

pussies.

we dont deserve people like you, godspeed

I wanna seed but when my download finishes it says 0.00Kb uploaded.

It's not much considering that it's the cumulative stats for 10+ years.

On the other hand, it's my home connection, and much of the stuff I have is not wanted by too many. I could upload five times this much, if anyone bothered leeching them. Such is life in private trackers, I guess.

windows 10 hasn't been around for 10 yeard

>100920 running hours

that is 11.5 years... how?

And I thought I had big numbers.

...

someone help. shit wont install. ill seed, honest

Well I seed at 100kbps torrents i've downloaded for a couple hours. But I'll seed 2 gb right now just because of this thread :>

I accidentally seeded a few torrents, and found out the data usage in our home for comcast was over 1TB. That's when they contiously charge you for every 50GB used over, fuck them. I'm also never seeding as a result, automatically set the seeds to delete after like 0.05.

...

>american internet
sucks to be you

>there is nothing wrong with uploading, you know?
You're giving away your bandwidth for FREE.
