Will be swept under the carpet like all the others. Re-branded as a 'feature', yet they knew full well what they were doing. They'll throw money at it for a while, then find other ways to enforce their commercial interest onto everyone else.
Connor Foster
But all decent androids are chink phones.

The botnet serves the Jew on his goal of subjugating the human race under the Marxist boot, it doesn't serve the white race in any capacity.
Luis Gonzalez
its all PR strategising. this time they just went full retard. there are a lot of ways to stutter older iphones and make them unusable thru "updates".

Extermely complex solution: Don't buy apple products.

As did IOS8, 7,6,5 etc.... They have been doing this for years. I've had iPhone 3,4 & 5. First Antennagate made me aware of issues. Then when they introduced the 5, my iPhone4 miraculously slowed down. So I bought the 5. When the 6 came in, the 5 slowed down. So I switched to android. Best thing I ever did.

That's only if the phone was state designed and produced by a private entity with grants from the government to sell cheap phones to everyone that is simultaneously equipped with spyware to identify any undesirables in the regime, such as illegals, Jews, niggers, fags, furries, footfags, etc.

Camden Thompson
You know, between the 4 and the 5 there was the 4S, and the 4 became so unusable with the release of iOS 7 and the iPhone 5S.
Asher Ross
These slowdowns are due to feature updates in the OS that require more performance from the CPU. Background services that require more CPU time.
It's not the same as this. Don't even act like it is the same as this.
I don't care about this being called a feature, but if you are going to call it a feature you need to tell people about it and that is what they failed to do. Here's the update note from 10.2.1 >It also improves power management during peak workloads to avoid unexpected shutdowns on iPhone. And there's nothing in the 11.2 update notes related to it support.apple.com/en-us/HT208067
Knowing what we do now we can understand what they meant by that 10.2.1 patch note, but the problem is that it isn't clear what the problem was and what they were doing to mitigate that problem. It wasn't communicated to the users so they could make an informed choice. So when they thought their performance was bad they thought they had to upgrade their phone when a battery replacement option was available.
If I have a 6S because I want to keep the headphone jack but my phone is performing badly then I might think that getting a "new" 6S or battery replacement would just mean continued poor performance but with better battery life. It wasn't clear that the poor performance WAS DUE TO the bad battery.
That's where they completely fucked up. They tried to mitigate the problem behind the user's back.
Matthew Martin
>the state of iCucks
Jonathan Ross
the sales of new iphones is weak compared to previous ones....so they had to REALLY fuck up older iphones now
apple always fucks up older iphones. if it didnt people would be using iphone4 right now

How does an apology help? Give users a toggle Great ass saver, as to be expected by Apple
Nathan Jenkins
from apple*
Bentley Wood
Apologies can be shat out quickly, software updates take time.
Jason Ward
I'm sure they knew that was coming, and I doubt they'll add a toggle without additional pressure
Easton Nguyen
Its literally the opposite of this you illiterate 3rd worlder. Plus, you just posted more or less the same thing in another thread on the first page. Respond: how much do you hate Apple, and why? I have to ask like that because you don't speak English very well, clearly.
Alexander Wright
it really must suck having to use a product you have no control over
Austin Murphy
Why do iPhone users even care?
I thought they were all supposed to be rich enough to upgrade to the latest model every year?

The vast majority of people outside of your skidmark country are on automatic 2 year plans, everyone can afford an iPhone. Its called a 'phone contract'.
Chase Perez
>since the 1st iphone
Exactly. And everybody knew about it.
Anyone who bought an iPhone in the last 8 years or so has no right to complain, you knew what you were buying.
Benjamin Nguyen
If they gave them a toggle, the phones would literally be shutting down at random. I don't know if you actually READ what they said was happening, but they do this because the voltage draw from a full speed A9 or later on a degrading battery that they supply with those phones would be too high.
Literally the only thing Apple did wrong is not telling people. Fucking laptops do this by DEFAULT in Windows and end users are informed about it in the notification area. All Apple had to do, was say this happens.
Elijah Green
>because the voltage draw Wrong. Current draw.
The problem with the toggle as well is that it would probably be in the battery settings page, which is where the current "you have a shit battery" message is, where people hardly ever go.
What they needed was a notification, comes up in the tray, maybe stickied in the tray, saying "shit battery, performance decreased". The thought of replacing the battery might occur to them if the two things are placed side by side. If they can't link the two then they would have no reason to believe that replacing the battery would recover the performance.
Ryder Watson
But where's the profit in doing this? It would be much better to have them buy a new device instead of trying to fix the old one.
Jaxson Rogers
And it's not going to affect their market share at all. You mad, whiteboi?
Jackson Bell
>I don't know if you actually READ what they said was happening
You actually BELIEVE what they said? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
>hurp derp how batteries work? I too stupid to understand why I buy iApple it just werks derp
Leo Wright
Better for Apple, yes. Better for the customer, no.
Devices are pretty much overpowered at this stage. You don't need the latest iPhone for performance reasons. A 6S or 7 will run iOS11 just fine and pretty much any popular current game, so if such a user only needs a battery replacement to get full performance back that's $79 (or $29) out of their pocket. A new phone is $700+ though.
And it's not even a matter of "trying to fix", there is a definite fix and Apple sells that service.
Grayson Sanchez
I fully believe them. There's no reason not to if you understand the technologies involved. But then it's also a fact that these devices are designed to draw really close to the peak capabilities the battery can provide, which means that once the battery starts to decay or is in conditions such as extreme cold or heat where it can't deliver peak power you have issues. I'm not sure how many other manufacturers have these issues, I have only heard anecdotal claims and have no experience with it myself.
Jose Lee
Apple did NOT apologize, however, for not telling customers they could replace the battery to regain their speed .. and THIS is what the real issue is about.
And of course Apple didn't admit that, as they would immediately lose every lawsuit that's being thrown at them right now if they did.
Apple has no way out of this mess. They are just going to have to lawyer up, and take whatever hits they have coming.
Grayson Brown
Mad autist.
Parker Cooper
>uding the smiley with the carat nose >quoting the smiley with the carat nose
Asher Baker
>extend people's battery life by linking battery voltage to clock speed >get sued >apologize betamale behavior
Nathaniel Foster
what fucking carat nose you faggot?
Jonathan Sanchez
>by linking battery voltage to clock speed No you moron. They linked wear to clock speed. Battery voltage remains roughly the same. I mean, fuck, the battery voltage varies over the normal charge and discharge of the battery anyway. It'll always cut out at the same lower voltage point, the problem is that when it wears it will reach that low point sooner.
The main problem is that when the battery wears the peak CURRENT that the battery can deliver reduces which is why the phone may suddenly shut off. Your computer would probably do the same under load if your PSU was inadequate.
Lucas Baker
battery voltage is related to remaining charge. The relationship is not linear but has ranges where it is nearly linear.
charge cannot be measured directly.
Gabriel Ward
iphone 4s how?
Lincoln Watson
Nah that would be ancap desu
Juan Murphy
>First and foremost, we have never — and would never — do anything to intentionally shorten the life of any Apple product, or degrade the user experience to drive customer upgrades. Our goal has always been to create products that our customers love, and making iPhones last as long as possible is an important part of that.
This is the worst kind of liar. Apple needs to step down, not apologize. Just stop existing altogether.
Leo Perez
Natsoc has always been about shilling national corporations, no "new definition"
Jason Scott
how are iPhones commie? iPhones are the fucking epitome of capitalism: expensive and shitty. commie would be something cheap and reliable, like a Nokia 3310. Not a new version of it, no updates to it, just producing the same old Nokia 3310 for 50 years Natsoc would be Nokia Lumia
Daniel Ross
>meanwhile i knew that not only apple but samshit, lg and any other capitalistic parasite engages in similar activities, for a long time now and installed the tvos beta profile to kill all updates from my phone posting from my iphone 6s+ on 10.3.3, meanwhile a friend of mine uses a buggy piece of shit of the same model

In the former communist eastern germany, the government constantly spied on all its citizens, and punished people who talked badly about communism or the government.
I DO believe the Nazis would have done something similar, if the technology had been available at the time. Read this:
>The Night of the Long Knives, also called Operation Hummingbird or, in Germany, the Röhm Putsch, was a purge that took place in Nazi Germany from June 30 to July 2, 1934, when the National Socialist German Workers Party, or Nazis, carried out a series of political extrajudicial executions intended to consolidate Adolf Hitler's absolute hold on power in Germany. >Many of those killed were leaders of the Sturmabteilung (SA), the Nazis' own paramilitary organization, colloquially known as the "Brownshirts" due to the color of their uniforms.
Hitler didn't only kill Jews, he killed political opponents as well
