And now my G430 headset is refusing to work properly. At first it wasn't even working at all, but then I realized windows just disabled it in favor of Realtek audio for some ungodly reasond reason. Now I am stuck with 2.0 sound despite having a 7.1 surround headset. Nothing seems to fix it. Looked online and a bunch of tutorials are actually either telling me to re-enable the headset (which I already did) or are talking about a different issue. Even tried updating the firware and that did jack shit.
Anyone else had the same issue?

stereo is already surround sound, your issue here is not having virtual environments. try something like razor surround and see if that helps.

Well, it~s working again. There are a few kinks yet to sort out but now everything sounds ok.
Will consider advice to buy a regular headphones in the future. Maybe it will save me in drama and proprietary software.
