Didn't find threads about it anywhere, but I wanna know what's the best option.
I know everyone here hates razer, but I can't find something better than their Wolverine. Xbox elite controller's too expensive and he still have these undivided arrow buttons, I hate it so much. Do I miss any other options?

I like the 360 controllers myself. Less clunk than the Xbox one controller, better layout than PlayStation controller. Proprietary Bluetooth kinda sucks though.
please for the love of god, buy the wired 360 controller instead.
For the Xbox, or PC? If it's PC, I still love the Xbox 360 wireless ones as my go-to controller. Unfortunately most batteries are fucking garbage for them though. Any re-chargeable ones are dead on arrival or take a bench power supply to trickle charge them until they're functional again, and I had some with a little plug in USB charger - also garbage and held about 45 minutes of gaming charge. Tried batteries from £2 each up to £15 and still having stuggles. Best to just buy old school battery ones, and get a 50 box of cheapo batteries and swap as and when needed. I've got expensive charging docks and all sorts and none work with any battery I've got (6?) on any controller or battery combo.
Aside that cancer, it's my go-to for PC, and any console that allows me to use it.
See my comment about battery cancer with the X360 controllers. Honestly can confirm - if I need to buy more for some reason I'll just get wired and stop dicking around with shitty batteries.
I use a wired x360 for analog controls and a ps3 when I have to use the d-pad.
DIY arcade joystick
Buy a $30 ripoff wired Xbox controller. I have an @Play one and it still works fine after 4+ years
get an xbox one controller, you can just use a micro usb cable to plug in to your computer
Either the Xbox 360 controller or the Steam Controller.
Everything else is for faggots.
360 is uncomfortable, feels like absolute shit compared to ds4, shoulder buttons get fucked in few years. Xbone stock, elite, razer are all shit tier tier chinkshit that breaks easily. Get ds3 or ds4
I already have a 360 wired controller.
I hate it. Arrow buttons're impossible to use and sticks're very inaccurate.
Buy an xbox one s controller. Good design, good compatibility (including Loonecks drivers) and it uses bluetooth for wireless instead of an overpriced propriety receiver.
Or, instead, you could not be a faggot and get a real 360 controller for ~$20
newegg.com
Steam Controller.
Local prices are insane here. Either way, wired is less of a pain in the ass.
They don't make those anymore, all you find is chink clones.
I had the original and the L or R button stopped working, i think because i live near the sea.
>I wanna know what's the best option
DualShock 4 v2 + official wireless dongle stick from Sony. Works super-fucking-well and absolutely flawless since very first plug in. Never had a single problem with any game, including emulation. You can also charge DualShock 4 v2 from a standard mobile mini USB charging cable, so you don't even need to buy a chargning stand or separate cables if you don't want to. Works like a charm. I tested it thoroughly - one full charge (from 0% to 100%) on DualShock 4 v2 lasts exactly ~17 hours straight of nonstop gaming, this is more than enough to last for a long time especially if you're making pauses. I usually charge my DS 4 v2 only once every 3 or 4 days, and I play A LOT.
It's unconfortable for me
big hands -> xbox
small hands -> ps3/4
at least in my experience.
>Big hands
Xbox Elite controller
>Small hands
PS3/4
>Tiny hands
Steam controller
>DualShock 4
>Uncomfortable
KYS, then. This IS the most comfiest joypad out there. No batteries (unlike with X-BAWKZ garbage), it's light, materials and design super high quality, it's sturdy and works very well.
BS.
I have very pig hands and DualShock 4 v2 fits like a charm.
>very big hands
self-fix
why are you telling a person to kill themself because they don't like a controller
DS4 is great, the sweet Dpad is where its at
Because you have to be a retard to deliberately choose a much inferior option than the GODLIKE DualShock 4 v2, which is essentially legendary DualShock 2's true and only actual successor.
the Elite breaks too easily for the price
How is the linux support on Xbox One S controller and Dualshock 4 controller? Just plug and play or do you need to install additional software?
dualshock 2 was pretty bad, you should use an n64 controller with a usb converter.
If you have to try different ones, everyone has their preference. I've always loved Nintendo's controllers but the Xbone pad became my favorite one.
Switch Pro > XBOXO > XBOX360
The Switch Pro is more expensive tho
I use the Dualshock 4 with DS4Windows, works amazingly and imo, it's the best controller ever. It has great Bluetooth too with not too much input lag, making it very smooth while playing games.
You could also use a Xbox One controller, but you'd need to buy a proprietary wireless adapter to get the best performance out of it, as if you connect with Bluetooth, you'll get pretty bad input lag.
Would recommend Steam Controller, even with big hands. Batteries last long, good range, and great layout customisation. Possible to import community layouts if you're playing games on Steam.
I like the horipad ex turbo, 360 pad with better layout and d-pad plus more features.
I also use a qanba q1 for more intense games, only cost me 25 bucks too.
From there it depends on how much you care about shit.
Would counter this statement and say do not buy steam controller. It has some nice features but you spend more time finding a layout that doesn't suck than you do actually playing the game, and too many games fail to recognize it as a controller so you have to pull teeth to get it working properly.
I would only recommend the steam controller if you are firmly entrenched in steam ecosystem and if you often play mouse-driven games on a couch. If either of those don't apply, then you're better off with something more standardized.
>DualShock 2
>bad
Now really go and KYS.
>Dualshock 4 with DS4Windows
You do NOT need third party software and XInput overrides if you just buy and use Sony's official wireless USB dongle. It makes any (ANY) game and emulation software recognize your DS 4 correctly IMMEDIATELY, with no issues whatsoever at all and with no hassle. It's literally just plug it in, sync DS 4 with it, and that's it, it works absolutely perfectly fine. Hell, it's a known fact that X Beyond The Frontier (a fucking PC-exclusive Space Sim) supports playing with a joypad. DS 4 works with it IMMEDIATELY after turning it on, if you're using Sony's dongle. With DS4Windows, however, you have to configure it and it's still in development, and it requires additional hassle. Sony's official wireless dongle works much easier, faster, and better. And it's really cheap, too.
Steam controller is better
>tfw steam controller feels a little big in my hands vs 360 one
Wireless logitech f710 werks fine for me.
Logitech even sends usb receiver replacements for free.
thoughts on the switch Pro Controller?
I used to shill dualshock playstation controlers but now I run xbone over bluetooth and its good for this goy
DualShock 4 v2 much better and already works with Cemu and Dolphin absolutely fine. As long as you'll have am official wireless dongle of Sony's and sync it with DualShock 4 v2, it's flawless as fuck. Just turn it on and everything works right away, with 0 latency/lag and with full functionality. DualShock 4 v2 in combo with Sony's wireless dongle is literally the one single most best solution these days, both for PC gaming and emulator usage. Literally flawless. Other joypads and solutions have different problems and additional hassle added (like third party software, drivers, and etc), while DS 4 v2 + Sony's wireless dongle is literally absolutely hassle and problems-free. Just put it in, sync for the first time, turn on and play. Easy as fuck.
is there a single PC controller where the triggers don't suck ass? That 360 pad has even shittier triggers than DS4.
Honestly this. Great controller.
You actually don't need the official dongle, a $2 chink shit works just fine.
But seriously the damn thing is so comfy it actually makes me think about getting a PS4.
>is there a single PC controller where the triggers don't suck ass?
It's called DualShock 4 v2. Or a HOTAS from Thrustmaster.
I use pic related, it's pretty much perfect for me, although I don't play new games with a controller so your experience may vary
The elite controller is hands down the best controller ever made.
I like it.
I'm looking at the difference between the v1 and the v2 but it is just the lightbar? I keep that turned off anyway.
Chinkshit dongles have different issues and "sores" (like overheating due to shitty wiring, or added latency), while Sony's own official dongle is simply fucking PERFECT and works absolutely flawlessly right from the get-go, from the first try. And it doesn't cost much either, so why bother with cheaper crap?
Where can i find this for 50$?
Is the PS3 controller acceptable for Cemu and Dolphin?
I was using it with a cable and I just ordered one of these (aliexpress.com
v2 is an improvement, an update/revision. It has better materials (analog sticks don't rub off fast and easy anymore, overall quality of buttons and device improved drastically), bigger accumulator/longer lasting battery, it's quite lighter (by roughly 50~80g), it has grippy surface by default (not all gen1 DS4 has this). A perfect fucking joypad all around. It's just so goddamn fucking perfect it's insane. The true successor to the legendary GODLIKE beast that is DualShock 2. The fact alone that I fucking fell in utmost LOVE with DualShock 4 v2 right from the first time when I've tried it, and this is while DEEPLY LOATHING PS 3's DualShock 3 and ESPECIALLY SuxxAsses, already speaks a lot. I really fucking hated PS 3's DualShock 3, especially it's triggers-instead-of-shift on R2 and L2, getting my fingers slipping constantly and fucking moves/combos up when playing fighting games. I literally NEVER EVER, not even for one, not even for a second, abso-fuckinglutely NEVER had such problems with DualShock 4 v2, EVEN TOUGH IT HAS TRIGGERS TOO. They've completely PERFECTED it, ridding off of all and any potential flaws. The shit is so super-fucking-cash it's insane.
I've never owned an Xbox but I like the controller, having the analog stick on the left is natural since you always use the analog on the left and the buttons on the right for like 99% of games.
I bought an Xbox 360 controller for my PC like 8 years ago and it's still working fine and all the games immediately recognize it and it just works
I like it
$0.10 has been deposited on your PSN account.

You got lucky, I guess. Sure, it's much cheaper, but there's always a chance you might get shit for that money. Sony, however, guarantees you perfect working state and that's exactly what it does. Yes, it's slightly more expensive, but you're paying for quality and 0 lag/connection issues. Besides, how far does that third party dongle of yours reach? 5 or 10m with no walls? My DualShock 4 v2 gets perfectly uninterrupted signal from Sony's wireless dongle within at least 50 meter radius THROUGH TWO SOLID WALLS (and up to 150 meters with no walls).
Cry more, X-BAAAAAWWWKZ kid. Your POS garbage trash is literally the most shittiest device when playing any fighting games, completely unsuitable for anything that's not Halo, and it's also STILL on fucking batteries instead of a modern accumulator. It's also heavy, fugly, and uncomfortable as fuck with that autistic monolithic d-pad of it's. You literally need to be a fucking ostrich-brained retard to like this more than the GODLIKE joypad that DualShock 4 v2 is. No, seriously, if in this modern day and age you're completely unironically think that X-BAAAAAWWWKZ's atrocious joypads are any better than fucking PERFECTION that is DualShock 4/4 v2, you should off yourself right here and now on spot. I'm not even joking. If you think that, if you believe that - do it. KYS.
>German autism the post
...
Wrong addressee, fuckwit.
Bungie helped design PS4 controller for Sony and Destiny
I have the power a mini xbox controller, its smol and really comfy for me
Oh fug, lol.
This makes X-BAAAAAWWWKZ's GARBAGE even less relevant and even more unimportant, then.
How is the steam controller for big screen couch gaming
>one and only controller for quality big screen couch gaming
It's called DualShock 4 v2.
how would I operate keyboard and shit with dualshock
Would you operate keyboard and shit with shit that is Steamshit?
Also, you can easily operate keyboard and DualShock 4 v2 at the same time, yes.
