Brave's optional feature of giving BAT to publishers has zero to do with blocking or not block ads, you fucking idiots.
First, Brave allows you to do exactly what you are saying (in fact, that's the default behavior): Block ads, third-party cookies, DRM, etc. You can even go further and toggle "Block Scripts" and "Fingerprint Protection" which solves things WebRTC leaks.

First most ad funded content is not quality content. Most of it is lowest-common-denominator clickbait meant to be the minimum-effort thing thats able to harvest ad revenue. Second, good!
