Why does Apple make the insides of their products look so nice?
Why does Apple make the insides of their products look so nice?
>literally a cock
...
So you cant fix or upgrade them yourself
All I see are 300 screws that need to be removed to access the hard drive.
Has Apple *always* done this though?
I know going back to at least when everything turned aluminum and think the insides have been works of art, but I don't recall older Apple hardware being especially aesthetic inside, if not full-blow PC badge-wire AIDS.
Short and stubby, just like their users. :^)
>harddrive
Ayylmao it's pcie drive the latest model impossible to replace because is non standard pcie drivr slot. Pic related older version with hdd.
The problem with the iMac Pro is that Apple has moved the SSD controller to the board, so now their 'gumstick' SSDs are totally non-standard (where previously they were really just M.2s with a different pin layout, so using standard M.2 with a dumb adapter was pretty easy)
To keep you warm through cold nights.
You mean they paint it all black and you happen to like black? I don't know why you like black so much. Or cock.
OR BLACK COCK XDDDD)))))
what are you talking about? all that's in the macs are taped and glued together electronics
I guess it's a matter of taste but they do seem to try to make everything nice.
Obviously when the iMacs and iBooks were transparent they had to make them nice looking inside. Apple had a real hard-on for transparent everything for a while.
I like modern apple but these things look stupid
Like a monitor got a tumor. yes, I'm aware all monitors had "the back" but did we have to color it and make a show of it?
>nice looking inside.
You can literally just see all the wire dangling there. If you think this looks good in the inside you'll like any device with the case removed.
there's so much goddamn complaining about software with ugly source code here but it's not like you see the damn code when you use the software
what's so different about hardware?
I always like that glass feel of those macs back then
It makes it look like a hi-tech piece of equipment
Because it's gonna be worked on a lot.
>it's not like you see the damn code when you use the software
Badly formatted, cluttered or convoluted code is harder to read and understand, and thus harder to maintain. I've rewritten bugged functions because they were just terribly written. Usually that removed the bugs as well.
It looks like an old TV torn apart (because it kinda is). Maybe this appeals to kids who never seen a CRT ditched at the side of the road before.
Are you retarded Pradeep? This is the back of the board. All the components are on the other side.
I know, but you need to pull the boards out of the case to see more.
I think it looks gross how it bulges out like this.
I get their strategy. How they want to make it appear as flat as possible when viewed straight by tucking away all of the mass where you won't see it, but it's still gross when the iMac turns around and you see its bulge ballooned out behind its thighs. I think a more elegant approach would've really just to have made the whole thing slightly thicker so the backside can remain completely flush.
Congratulations, Vinod. You are retarded.
Form over fucntion
Because everything is soldered down, and therefore not removable for the average user. Without the need for mounting latches and other hardware, it can be made slimmer and sleeker. The problem with this approach is that it also makes it functionally impossible to upgrade.
It was very cool in the 90s since most other computers were just beige and boxy.
iMac cases were much more opaque than in
You could just tell that there's a crt tube and some stuff inside but not really tell the details.
It's like you've never seen those in real life
Jobs' dad raised him to be proud of his work and that everything should look nice, even the parts that aren't seen.
Looks more like uterus and ovaries.
Who is this 1985 guy? He sounds wise.
Is that supposed to look like an elephant? Is it because Apple is made of pajeets who decided to embed some kind of reference to their devil worshipping religion into their product?
really gotta respect this man. he knew what he ws doing. cant really critcize a businessman for people overpaying on his products.
He was saying the quality had to be bad through and through, otherwise people will not feel special for overpaying for low quality products.
you simply arent appreciative of a product aesthetical value. all you see is its performance, unable to accept that looks are really valuable to a lot of people. the same way furtinure need to match, you want your hardware to be aesthetically pleasing.
In Steve's biography he said he wanted the inside of the computer to look as nice as the outside. It's why they also don't like fans.
See Apple's aesthetic quality is that of a devil worshiping religion that wants to believe that the digital world is the real world so that they can steal the souls of the innocent.
>that wants to believe that the digital world is the real world
but it is?
>soldered ram
>soldered ssd
its made to look nice so apple soyboys can gloat over aesthetics while in reality its trash, thats simple apple philosophy
Nope, the real world operates over the entire field of irrationals, the digital world operates on integers.
To stop you tinkering. Only 'qualified' Apple engineers are allowed to touch the innards 'for a price' goy.
Are those speakers?
Do they fire straight through the glass?
Doesn't seem efficient.
It looks like they just run woofer chambers down to the bottom
But wouldn't that vibrate the megabytes
You've clearly never seen the difference between a tray load and a slot load iMac, the original tray load had the textured plastic that you couldn't really see through, and there was a big metal shield around the CRT and boards on the sides so you couldn't see much anyway. The later slot load models had semi conductive plastics to no longer need internal shielding and so had the flat transparent finish that you could see through to see the back of the CRT. Here's a Graphite slot load I owned.
so the apple licensed repair guys have a nice time
I can't remember how competitive the CRTs were on these at the time. I assume they're all trinitron?
Also I vaguely remember an 'emac' that was like a final final gen of thse but only for schools or something.
Pretty ugly actually.

...
Nice looking doesn't mean it's easy to repair, I rather have function than aesthetics
Or to service.
