Just built a PC, need windows 10. Preferably for free. I don't trust Reddit shills to give me a legit answer .

You could go to /r/microsoftsoftwareswap/ on Reddit and get an MSDN key for like $40.

Alternatively you can just not activate Windows. The only penalty is the watermark and not being able to customize your background. Gone are the days of being locked out of your PC until you get a key.

You can use Win10 Pro without activating it. You'll have a pale "Activate pls" text in your bottom right corner and visual customization will be limited to setting up a desktop background from an image.
Aside from that it'll be fully functional, you can even install WSL on it.

>find the win 10 ltsb by generation 2
>download the iso
>get win32 disk imager
>plug in usb stick
>open win32 disk imager when iso is downloaded
>select image file in win32
>in the file selection click the dropdown at the bottom which says .img change it to all files
>click the win10 iso
>then click on write
>boot into the usb stick and follow instructions
>when you have installed win 10 download spybot antibeacon
>run it and disable all the telemetry

If you want the Enterprise iso image select TechNet Evaluation Center > Windows > Windows 10 Enterprise Version (whichever version you want) > Language > Either x86 or x64

Getting a clean Enterprise iso is tricky, especially if you want a non-US one.

From there you need a crack or trial reset tool of which there are more than a few of.

Also my 2c, use esds for latest enterprise iso generation, trial ones can't be updated and esds can be converted using in example dism++.
