also I disagree on the derailed thread mostly, I agree with OP
Fedora is stabler than other bleeding edge distros (Leap, break my rice bowl one more time honey!) and requires little to no maintenance (Arch dear, I have a day job sorry.).
Also worth mentioning its: it is the future base for new CentOS and RH editions so if you are working with servers you will be immediately familiar with stuff.

Last time I tried Fedora with KDE it was a buggier mess than other distros out there with a KDE spin: openSUSE Tumbleweed, Kubuntu, KDE Neon, Arch. In all of those I had less issues. Less crashing for no goddamn reason.
