Not likely. Devices launching with Oreo out of the box are required to support treble so expect to see 7.1.2 on a lot of midrange and below devices right through til 2019.

just got the v30 last night.
i also bought the v30 for the dac, and it really doesn't make a huge difference in sound quality through my (admittedly battered) ATH-M50x's. It sounds clearer, but it's not night and day, compared to my shitty moto g3 but you really have to be paying attention to pick up on it.
Honestly considered returning this (screen's a bit weird anyway) and getting the s8 instead because it's ~$200 cheaper + better software updates + more features.

Just keep it in the 20-80% range most of the time and you should be fine. don't run it to zero for max SOT or leave it sit on the charger full at 100% forever

It depends on the software version your running on all your devices because AT&T could have patched and locked down the phones. I recommended looking up the AT&T versions of your phones on XDA to see how easy or difficult it is to modify them.

Rumors are flying about that LG's K Series this year is also going to enter the SD630 arena this year with similar specs to everyone else, so who knows. 2018 in the mid range tier is gonna be a bloodbath if all these big brand phones have little flaws and good word of mouth.
