windows 10 should be on level 1 and xp on level 2

This

Install GNU.

>MINIX
>jaded outcast
lmao no MINIX should be at the top because 90% of the world is running it

>Windows XP

In 2007, Windows Xp User would be considered casual scum

>Red Star being anywhere on that pic
It's Linux for North Koreans and it is a surveilance tool. It's not l337. Windows XP might have a bunch of security holes in it since it is so old and there's no mainstream support for it.

Why is there linux and android separate?

linux is a kernel, not an operating system. it shouldn't be on that list in the first place.
android USES linux, android IS NOT linux.

you might as well put the NT kernel on there and ask why windows and NT are separate.

This is why no one takes the FSF seriously.

What if I'm on windows 8.1?

Why not install IcAros? It is a Amiga compatible OS for x86/64. It is free and open source.

windows 8.1 is clearly level 0: G-d tier
not in the picture because you shouldn't make pictures of our one true G-d

Replace Linux with GNU/Linux
Add other Linux to 4, move solaris to 4
Remove Redstar, I guess add OS/2 to 6
Add OpenVMS to 5
Dunno where to put other Windows versions

Also add to 5
also:
>Furry mascot
HAHAHAHA (konqui is fine tho)

>level 1
windows (any), Linux
>level 2
BSD (incl. mac os), haiku, amiga
>level 3
other unices, plan 9

oberon

MINIX goes to the top. It's the most popular system, every Intel user runs it in the chip.

>not dualbooting hitlerlinux

Many products have a furry mascots. The mascot was created by a OG furry that even made furry animations on his old Amiga computer.

Many people take the FSF seriously. If it weren't for people taking the FSF seriously you wouldn't have the Linux kernel today as Linus used gcc and the gpl to create Linux.

That's why it's weird. Compare it to konqi and you can see what's the problem

>no FreeDOS
>no North Korean Linux
>no obscure Soviet operating systems from the 80s
Shitty chart/10

It's just a mascot. You can replace the mascot with your own waifu. It isn't hard to just replace the mascot.

This.

>>no North Korean Linux
red star is on there though, level 5

Nice, where to download Mac OS that would work?

>Can I go deeper?
There's also A/UX which is UNIX with the Mac OS GUI on it, and IRIX which is a System V UNIX fork with a custom GUI that only runs on custom MIPS hardware from SGI that's rare and expensive. Some version of A/UX can be run in a buggy emulator called Shoebill but no one has gotten more than a headless boot of IRIX in QEMU with just the PROM image and a stripped down kernel. SGI workstations use completely custom and poorly documented graphics hardware which is going to take decades to fully emulate at this rate, if we ever see full emulation at all. There's also Oberon which is pretty much dead, as well as shit like FreeVMS and OS/2.

But are you looking for an incredibly advanced system with a fully working kernel, userland, system utilities, and a shiny GUI? Because SkyOS exists. It's closed source and all development has been halted since 2009. The kernel is completely custom, as well as most of the GUI and programs included. The software repos and forums are long dead and the website finally got taken down sometime between now and late last year, so good luck finding a download link.

If Sup Forums figures out how to reverse engineer or decompile then we would be able to remove all the malicious shit and make it a Mac OS clone feature wise, but update it. Redstar OS 4.x is out, but there is no downloadable copy, yet.

You forgot your /s, but if it wasn't satire, there is a Hackintosh thread.

>no Blue Abyss

...

>no seL4

Meh, hackintosh is not cool, I need this commie copy of it.

Where's GNU?

...

Weird games seem weird until you watch Vinesauce's streams where he plays them and there's just hundreds of them and they are mostly the same and very tryhard.

Is it one of these threads?

openingupnorthkorea.com/downloads-2

Warning, it has tons of security flaws, has government backdoors, spying tools, etc. If you manage to gut all the North Korean government stuff, then kudos to you.

I find these charts mildly funny, but 99% of the time they're made by a moron with "casual scum" knowledge of the subject.

Gamer/casual users: OSX, Windows of any sort, most mobile operating systems
Weird: All flavors of BSD and Linux (Red Star included; it *is* just a Linux distro)
Outcast: MINIX, UNIX, Solaris, Plan 9, other obscure UNIX-derived systems that can be reasonably run on common hardware, Haiku, AmigaOS, obsolete operating systems (one of the hundreds of flavors of DOS, OS/2, Netware, etc.), some mainframe operating systems
Hardcore: various systems with non-trivial hardware and licensing requirements that exist almost solely as an environment to run custom software (with very little inherent utility in the software it's shipped with other than for development); think MULTICS, mainframe systems with brutal licensing, etc.
Corrupted: entirely experimental or extremely niche systems (think seL4)
Ascended: writing your own and developing it to the extent that it is able to do real work

Just edit the fucking picture man

put bigclive in that weird guy or probably a bit higher, put mikeselectricstuff where bigclive was

>Ascended+: Not using an OS at all, handling all tasks yourself by manually sending the electronic signals through the hardware.
>Ascended++: Writing your OS on paper, preferably in binary
>Ascended+++: Thinking up the code in your head, and letting your brain process everything

Nah it's pretty accurate, xp can't be on 2 if it's gaymer either

>Intel ME

Now this is why I come to Sup Forums.

I'm talking about it's placement on the normie scale

Apparently I don't. If that were even true, I guess that raises another question: what makes Red Star a cut above any other distro? I imagine that the support (at least outside of NK) is non-existent. What exactly makes RS good for a normalfag who has no patience with configuring the sys or compiling packages, if there is no support in place?

where is ReactOS????

What about /noOS/?

>tfw when only Hardcore

How is Windows XP "deeper" than Linux? And "Linux" could mean any one of a billion things.

Nowhere because it's not obscure. I've seen it everywhere for the last 10 years, and they work with the WINE team.

Looks like I found a link after all. And checking the SkyOS website archive, that's the last public beta out there. The site was saved 4 years ago but it's up to date because nothing has changed from what I saw last year before it went offline. The key for the install media is also the same that's written in sharpy on a SkyOS install CD I have from 2008.

Where's Hanna Montana Linux?

The North Korean spying shit isn't that sophisticated to even being threatening.
It can't connect to normal internet, only for their shitty intranet.

Kim you fat fuck, you listen to me now. You are in violation of the GPL. You must release the Red Star GNU+Linux source code now.

What's the point of these weird OS's if you can run most programs on them? Like is there a decent DAW for GNU yet?

why are Solaris and Haiku in level 5
haiku is a mildly obscure desktop oriented system
and solaris was a fairly popular commercial unix until lol oracle

under any other definition of OS than Stallman's, the Linux kernel IS the operating system
the GNU userland is not an operating system

I like a lot of things about Stallman. A lot of his muddling of language pisses me the fuck off.

man, the only time I ever bothered with it was so I could run HivelyTracker before it got ported to anything but AmigaOS and AROS
and I hated it, only put up with it so I could make AHX tunes in Hively

wanted to run SkyOS really badly years ago but never bothered and I kinda don't care at this point

if you're looking for FOSS stuff, yeah, nah
did use Renoise on Linux for ages though

Is there any usable Linux kernel with BSD userland?

>no aix
neck yourself

>wanted to run SkyOS really badly years ago
It was great. It's a shame that the dev left it to rot instead of open sourcing it.

AIX is shit.
