I don't know, it may be a placebo effect or something, but when I look at this website and the content on it, it just feels "normal". In a way, it feels like Sup Forums. It's free of advanced algorithms for recommendation, yet it still recommends me wonderful content. The content is mostly small clips crafted by human hands, and there's a bunch of authors on it, all of them creating their own content and contributing the platform. I really, really like this website. This website is how the Internet should be.
You took the words right out of my mouth, user. When I see a VidLii profile, I see an actual user with a personality and a style, not some corporate plant with no emotions that rakes in money from even more corporations. In a weird way, it feels more “real” than YouTube, almost as if the site itself was more tangible. You can tell the person that created the site put their heart and soul into it, whereas by comparison YouTube feels like a zombie.
