What happened? Aren't AMD CPU's supposed to be the correct choice now, or did I miss something?

i want to hug these friends
nah, you should be buying cheap xeons off of ebay.
PO PA PO PA PO PA PA
...
G4600 was the correct choice. And it IS now.
DONT USE THESE POTATOES FOR YOUR FUCKING PROPAGANDA THREADS
This is the power of consumer loyalty.
A multi-billion dollar company can score a C on its best chip by its own scores, and the retards still buy.
what anime?
>what anime?
It's the one about the potatoes that ride a kettenkrad.
>intel on the rise
INTEL IS FINISHED
>The series follows two girls, Yuuri and Chito, as they navigate the ruins of civilization after an unknown apocalypse, and as they travel in their modified Kettenkrad, they seek food and supplies while surviving day-to-day.
This sounds pretty good thanks user
WOW
Spectre / Meltdown affect all modern cpus.
It's called a correction.
>It's called a correction.
Can you elaborate?
No it doesn't
>Spectre / Meltdown affect all modern cpus.
user specifically stressed that AMD was not affected at all though, so AMD ended up being affected too?
They are but less. it is more secure but not perfect
>
>This sounds pretty good thanks user
It's actually pretty comfy show, hope you enjoy it user, and ask in if you need more suggestions.
normies don't give a fuck about security mein freund
Meltdown is intel only, and AMD are only partly affected by spectre (along with every other modern CPU, ARM included)
It's not that normies don't care about security, they just don't understand that computers hold their entire lives.
Least until they get ransomwared or some shit.
Potato thread now
>what is initial overreaction
>what is a market correction
what is a potato thread
NO FROGS, ONLY POTATOES ALLOWED
I'm not but it works like this:
X company's stock price goes down because Y, people sees it as an oportunity to buy at a lower price expecting future profit, price goes some-what back up.
Z company's stock price goes up because Y, people sees it as an oportunity to sell at a higher price than when they bought it thus making profit, price goes some-what back down.
>This is the power of consumer loyalty.
A multi-billion dollar company can score a C on its best chip by its own scores, and the retards still buy.
That explains AMD, but what about intel? Are people really forgiving them for this fuck up, because there aren't any real alternatives yet?
>male
Dropped
He is implying Ryzen/TR/Epyc is archaic
>archaic
How so?
Meltdown is Intel x86 and Apple ARM only
Fixed that for you
Boku no Pico.
Which ones affect amd cpus?
Probably none, because no one has responded to this.
So how different is it from the mango?
Meltdown, the one with the performance decrease in some tasks, is Intel only. Spectre has two variants and all processors with out of order execution are theoretically affected. The Google paper, that published these vulnerabilities only managed to get Spectre to work on Intel and on one AMD FX model with non default settings. AMD says that they see only a near zero risk, that Spectre will work on their processors. We will see if that is true, but fact is that so far no one has managed to do it.
Pretty accurate adaptation.
>AMD fags honestly think some inconsequential flaw that only matters to server farms is going to destroy Intel
Yeah but did they add anything? I heard of a moment in which they get drunk but I don't remember anything similar. (untranslated omake perhaps?)
It will. Datacenter is the crown jewel of Intel, with margins literally though the roof.
>C-Companies are going to end their 30+ year contracts with Intel because of an easily fixed bug
HAHAHAHAHAHA
this is just the market correcting for hype
The flaw remains retard, it is only that the OS needed to jump through hoops.
Your Intel processor is one big security liability, many researchers and others will try to break through these new patches and use the meltdown bug in other ways. You are not prepared

>Advanced Micro Devices
>Probability Of Bankruptcy = Normalized Z-Score = 33 %
Keep crying AMD shill.
Yes, because operations of your chip and usefullness of it for you is usually measured in stock value. This are the moments, when I want earth destroyed whole.
Stockholm syndrome Intel fan boys
Cry harder fag
>ESL
Flags please.
Are people really so obsessed about one company "winning" and other "losing" even though they gain nothing from it?
I own an ancient Intel CPU, but it's good for market that AMD exists and tries not to die. We're fucked enough with Intel having 90% of a monopoly.
You clearly lack the capacity to understand that some people buy stocks.
You clearly lack the capacity to understand what I said.
It just reminded everyone that everyone uses Intel so everyone thought they should buy Intel so everyone bought Intel. Investors are sheep.
no
wiki.ubuntu.com
first two
1 being patched already
the other unclear but probably safe
intel sold their amd stocks.
>easily fixed
HAHAHAHAHAHA
...
what brand of potato is this???
The "stock rush" was just dumb normies like yourselves thinking they were suddenly experts
This shit doesn't change anything, AWS, Azure, etc. will still be 100% Intel 20 years from now. Intel isn't going to lose a dime on this, especially since people may be more inclined to buy new processors earlier than they normally planned to now and they still aren't going to give a shit about Advanced "10% market share" Micro Dicks.
