1. Country
2. Do you unironically prefer movies from your country over American ones?

most of the movies from here are shit

>american """"""""""""""""movies""""""""""""""""

No, American films are the most aesthetically mature and intelligent on the planet

As for porn - surely.

1. Flag
2. No, generally they're gritty working class miserable sludge

Pretty much all the best "American" films are British anyway

no but I prefer american tv shows

>implying tooth fairy 2 isnt kino

Not even fucking remotely. I don't remember Griffith, Welles, Hawks, Brakhage and Ford being British

When watching Inception, I literally thought: "This film is too good, it can't be American."

>check Wikipedia of the film maker
>he's British

>Griffith
It's a British car

>Ford
Okay this one's American, but we're not talking about cars anyway

most Icelandic movies are either comedies that aren't funny and serious movies that are so excruciatingly depressing they make you want to kill yourself

in between you can find some really good movies tho

Spain
no

Lelno French movies are shit.

Nah desu, our films are garbage. Look at the shit Kaurismäki does and he's our most prolific director.

German movies are utter trash trash, Hollywood make the best movies

>slovak films

Because the Birdcage (with Robin Williams) is so much better than La Cage aux folles, right...?

They have shiiitload of money for their films in hollywood. Most other nations can't afford such enormous special effects.

You don't need a lot of money (and certainly not special effects) to make good movies.

I like to think we have a decent selection of filmography

True that, last good finnish films were made in somewhere around late 1980's, and those aren't great nether they are just watchable.

The best movies I've watched were American hyphened and some other country in Europe. Like Ex-Machina was American but shot in some cunt in Scandinavia.

I didn't see a European movie with explosions n shit like hollywood yet, let alone animations like in "the hobbit".

You have bretty gud series desu

>MI-5
>Sherlock
>Injustice
>Agatha Christie's Poirot
>Shameless
>Strike Back (okay, the Americans lend in hand in this one)
>Luther
>Secret Diary of a Call Girl

...

I guess our film industry focusses more on the plot and tries to give an actual meaning to the stories. However the plots are usually shit and I feel like it's just an excuse for being to poor to make proper animations and explosions

There are no (good) Swiss films since Heimatfilms went out of fashion

Lurk more.

France has a good film industry Léon is best movie

Most dutch movies are either about drama, sex or a combination of those. Older american movies used to be good but a large majority are also shit nowadays.

Honestly though I would love to see a dutch sci-fi or fantasy movie. Why the fuck aren't those ever made?

Because your internal market is too small to finance it. Unless you do it in English and export the movie.

I pretty much watch cinema from everywhere. Only thing i can't stand is hollywood films, but there is amazing american cinema outside of the industry.

I prefer good movies, regardless of where they come from

1. flag

2. Depends. There are good and bad movies from everywhere.

I really like Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot. Been binge watching it on Netflix.

they are equally bad.
I prefer to watch European kino.

Canada doesn't have many well known films. Most of our film industry just moves to the U.S. and works in Hollywood.

David Suchet was literally born to do this series. He's perfect.

I love the songs and dances in Indian movies. Our movies can feel petty and lifeless in comparison.

1. Flag.
2. No, but from former country yes, old Czechoslovak (but Czech made) comedies are pure gold.

Definitely, Suchet is perfect as Poirot.

I do enjoy movies from my own country and I prefer French movies over American ones.

I do still enjoy some American movies though, example: Synecdoche, New York

Hollywood is puke worthy superficial consumerist garbage however.

Belgian cinema is underrated tbqh
