I can write nearly 100 kanji now. I feel like the fruits of my labor are finally starting to pay off. I'm working on second grade kanji now. I read that in order to get your N2 you need to know only 400 kanji. I've been studying Japanese for 3 years since I was 16. I'm finally starting to understand the things people write here, even though they're simple sentences. These threads are really helpful for me. But knowing that N2 only requires to know 400 kanji, I'm starting to feel like mastering Japanese is possible. I predict that it will take me another 3 years of study to get my N2. I've heard a lot of people say it took them 6 years of study before they were comfortable in Japanese. What do you think? I also plan to take the next JLPT just to see where I place.

Why would you go on public television and talk about how ugly you are? Everyone's fucking ugly and cringey in middle school. In order to interview them they had to get their parents' permission too, right? What kind of parents would allow their children to say these kind of things on TV...

>Taipei still at odds with Japan on ‘comfort women’ >The government has yet to find common ground with the Japanese government on the issue of reparations for Taiwanese “comfort women,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) said yesterday. >Speaking at a routine news conference, Association for East Asian Relations Secretary-General Peter Tsai (蔡明耀) said that he met with officials at the Interchange Association, Japan, the day after the Japanese Cabinet approved a payment of ¥1 billion (US$9.77 million) to the South Korean Reconciliation and Healing Foundation to be used as reparations for South Korean comfort women. >The Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in Japan also met with Japanese government officials in Tokyo the same day to reiterate the government’s hope that Japan would properly address the issue of Taiwanese comfort women, Tsai said. >“Japan gave us the same response, which was that it has ‘faced the matter honestly’ by setting up the Asian Women’s Fund in 1995. This is not the answer we are looking for,” Tsai said. >Taipei wants Tokyo to respond to its four demands: an official apology by the Japanese government; restoration of the honor and dignity of the women; allocating appropriate compensation; and an effort to help take care of the surviving comfort women, Tsai said.

tempura ? A fool's bolt is soon shot. You can't speak Japanese. You are so stupid that you should get out here. The person who can't understand Japanese is you only. Immigrants is truer than you. You should give Immigrants your country. and you should die.

You are proxy. But that it is a problem. I hate Japanese traitors. You should become a foreigner if you are Japanese. You are not for Japan.

That gif is incredibly creepy and scary at the same time
This is why people are wary of French people though. That is incredibly rude (as per French custom) and will only discourage language learners to get better. They'll just say fuck this and move on to a language whose speakers aren't act like a complete bag of dicks to them.
David James
Which is worse Lying about the level of your friend giving him false hopes or being truthful even if it might shake him a bit? You don't have to be a dick about it, give him ways to improve etc... >will only discourage language learners to get better Not if it's soft A little correcting here and there hasn't killed anyone
Grayson Lopez
Mais non Hans, dis toi au moins que tu parleras toujours mieux que les americains
Joseph Jones
you are not giving false hope. you are giving him confidence. confidence means a lot in language learning. giving advices that aren't asked for is being a dick.
Blake Fisher
>you are giving him confidence False confidence then. Thinking that he has reached a high level in the language while he is still at the bottom can also be very discouraging once he realize it >giving advices that aren't asked for is being a dick But isn't the ultimate objective of language learning to achieve proficiency? How is that possible without corrections?
