What happens in 2 years?
Will they stop releasing the updates that I never download?

Only 2 more years until Windows 10 is out of mainstream support.

it's easy to set up windows 10 to be functionally the same thing. The more pertinent and immediate problem is the discontinuation of Classic Shell

kek Winblows Botnet10 users utterly BTFO

>it's easy to set up windows 10 to be functionally the same thing
How do I set Windows Update to manual?
How do I individually cherry pick updates?
How do I disable Windows Firewall's service and keep Windows Update working at the same time?
How do I disable telemetry fully and permanently?
Thanks.

Today i updated from 7 to 10 using the assistive technologies update feels bad, gonna miss it

>this, and
How do I completely get rid of ads?

>Botnet
Kek gtfo

You only use Windows if you're too dumb for Linux and too poor for a Mac. Using a Windows machine as anything other than a designated gaming box is haram.

Make us pajeet, go shit up a street soyboy

your mom is haram, after I porked her last night

>Typing such childish nonsense
Grow up you absolute halfwit.

When can we make it 2009 again?

Boot into Windows 10 for the first time in moths, needs to reboot to install updates
>this may take awhile
many reboots later finely at desktop sound doesn't work refuses to use the assigned default device, disable all other devices, flash doesn't work the Edge browser triggers my IDS, a day later I get a scam call informing me that all my Mocrosoft services have been disabled and I need to purchase a new key.
>whatever.jpg
boot into Linux and format the Windows partition, problem solved.
pajeets and diversity hires have ruined Windows see you in the scrap heap of history along with Cisco and AMD.

>Unsupported means it magically stops working
brainlet_wojak.jpg

just install gentoo already

>Cisco
>Scrap heap of history
This just shows you've never done anything IT related in your life besides installing GNU/Linux on your laptop.

>How do I set Windows Update to manual?
Disable the Windows Update service
>How do I individually cherry pick updates?
Download them manually from the catalog
>How do I disable Windows Firewall's service and keep Windows Update working at the same time?
Disable the Antimalware service
>How do I disable telemetry fully and permanently?
Deselect options at startup, disable Diagnostics Tracking Service (or, HOSTS block data.microsoft.com, regedit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\DiagTrack to 4, or run the PowerShell commands stop-service diagtrack
set-service diagtrack -startuptype disabled)
>How do I completely get rid of ads?
Stop browsing porn, get a good ad blocker, install Unchecky and get a good Start Menu

This. Love them or hate them, Cisco isn't going anywhere.

Last time i checked vista it didn't even finish checking for updates, even after I manually installed all of them. I suspect the same for 7.

They will have to call the army to stop me from using win7.

>having to jump through all these hoops just to get to a sensible baseline

For what purpose? I used to think like you until I installed the abomination that is 8.1 and later moved on to Linux. 8.1 is much more responsive than Windows 7 even if it has all the ungodly shit embedded in its core, but even then it can't match the quickness of Linux. Seriously, I have no idea why I never tried another OS for more than 2 decades. It's even fast on hard drives and brought new life to a few shitty prebuilts for the family.

Most of them are configured through a single interface; services.msc. On the other hand, the last time I installed Ubuntu I had to manually edit xorg-conf and write a dozen commands in the terminal to get it to recognize my monitor so that I could have a GUI

t. only uses his pc as a Sup Forums and anime machine

Are you sure its not just the ol "old beaten up windows vs spanking new windows install" effect?

Did the windows 10 fall update cause internet to randomly stop working on anyone else's laptop? After a while wifi randomly stops working and I'm unable to connect to any access point. Even if I plug in an Ethernet cable, the wired internet stops working every few minutes and I have to replug it back again. No solution like reinstalling the wifi driver works.

Words can't describe how much I hate this OS. I'm forced to dual boot Ubuntu on my laptop now.

Cisco is pajeet tier shit, the only reason their popular is because they give companies a break on the cost of hardware if they employ cisco certified morons.

>only two more years
Are you retarded? Everyone acts like it'll just suddenly crash like its fucking y2k or some shit. Its still going to fucking work. If you dont want to get a virus just dont do stupid shit on the internet and all those security updates you "need" you really wont. I fucking hate it when people act like just because microsoft has stopped supporting one of their OSes that it will automatically become unusable. For sucks sake some software still has driver support for vista, and you're acting like using Win 7 after its discontinued is impossible? Enterprise systems and most businesses STILL use windows 7. Its not going fucking anywhere for a LONG time, and until the software I use no longer supports windows 7, I'm going to keep on using it. Windows 10 is absolute shit. Hell I stayed on XP up until 2010.

People still use Windows XP, they will still use Windows 7

OS support, unless a critical bug, isn't as important for daily use, but the issue start when the user most used programs stop said support or compatiblity.
Think it as if web browsers, some games, ((antivirus)) and hardware vendors kept supporting XP with drivers and new versions, then the users with no need of DX10~12 and 64 bits software would still be on it. Hell, most dumb machines still are for basic shit at the point you would probably do better on a tablet or cellphone, but if the user still don't encounter issues then it will never ((((upgrade)))), and specially on 10 shit that gives more problems than solutions.

There's no point to upgrade to Linux or Mac if your favorite OS already satisfy all of your needs and wishes.

Deal with it.

I'm not shocked that a wintard can't even muster up the brainpower to form a proper sentence.

>How do I disable telemetry fully and permanently?
>Thanks.
You don't, and you can thank Microsoft for that.
