Is this the greatest USB drive of all time?
Is this the greatest USB drive of all time?
no
16GB, and you call it an USB drive. Look at my 128GB, that's an USB drive.
I have ordered a 2 tb usb stick. I hope its even real..
Yes. Is legacy is only tarnished by there being no usb3 version with the same form factor.
No because mine died :'(
You utter melt
Yes. My friends, coworkers & family seem to agree by never returning them to me.
>bigger than my thumbnail
>pitiful 16GB
Form over function made by numales for numales
I have an 8GB one. It's ok I guess. Definitely durable enough to put it on a keychain.
kek
What do you do if you lose that little plastic cap? I hate USB drives that use multiple pieces
glue it on so you never lose it
It's not a huge concern for me because it's so low profile I just keep it stuck in my laptop for extra storage. I just toss the cap in one of my bag's pockets if I ever need to dig for it.
>Makes fun of user's usb capacity
>Needs a usb to supplement his internal storage capacity
sometimes it's about the simple joys
If only the USB 3 version wasn't so slow
Spoken like a numale that relies on the NSA's free cloud storage.
4 TB SSDs exist
mine died, but I was carrying it around all the time
Fuck all your shit. This is the best!
you monster
I had a similar flash drive and it broke.
I have one of these and my only worry about these are that they get so darn hot I'm wondering if it'll eventually melt and take my whole PC / Laptop with it.
>exposed port
No
yeah, I too love my usb sticks getting scratched the first time you put them in a usb slot.
I want one. Where do I get it?
delete this
64GB is 3.0
I have it on my keys :)
>Is this the greatest USB drive of all time?
You know it, nigger.
>fitting on your keychain is form over function
>meanwhile this has a tire tread on the back
They do have it in USB3, see . They are nearly identical in size.
Why do you need a USB stick attached to your keys? You want all that shit dangling from a computer together?
They do have USB3.
This is my issue now, unironically what other option is there
Quick release, dumb dumb
>ThinkPad key
Wh-what is this for, user? I've not seen one of those before
It's for locking your thinkpad into docking stations
>no grips
>hole too small for finger to hook into
stuck/10
Fucking kek
HOW TO MAKE LITERALLY ANY FLASH STORAGE INSANELY FAST
sudo mkfs.f2fs -l mylabel /dev/sdxY
My go to thumb drive is a 32gb DTSE9. Price was right and I can move whole games from one PC to the other with it.
I also keep a Windows 7 installer on it for whenever it's needed.
that curved end looks like its infuriating to plug into ports surrounded by other USB devices
No but it's fucking great
noice
I have this. It's fucking great.
Does it look like one of these?
Where did u get the cover for the USB drive?
Seconded.
I washed it
if you peel it you'll realize it's made of copper or something
step aside dicklets, this shits the best.
I actually found my 32 gig one (pic related) on the floor at fredmyers, it had a pirated copy of pirates of the Caribbean 5 on it
>(pic related)
You dingdong.
FUCK
>plastic
>the best
pathetic.
And inutile, you may add.
its metal retard
you say that to my face and not online and see what happens
Honestly no because they get dented up and stop working if you actually carry them on your keys
okay meet me at the corner of 8124 binkerton avenue in 42 minutes
Had mine on a keychain for almost 5 years and doesn't look like it's going to break any time soon.
There ain’t an 8124 Binkerton Avenue, dumbass. Meet me at 5416 Annapolis Road in 15 minutes or be square.
Mine literally died after 3 months. Fully dead.
> have one of these in my motorcycle's keychain
> got several rains over the years
> thing still works
Too slow tho, that was before USB 3.0, Now I have one of these: It just keeps plugged in my laptop most of the time.
i would have said yes but mine died in like 6 months
What's the point of USBs? you can never fully wipe them.
What's the point of butts? you can never fully wipe them.
KINO
Greatest design? Yes. Greatest at performance or value? Not really, they're slow af.
I have this.
Fast read speeds, shitty write speeds so it's not suited to put portable firefox on it.
I use the 16GB Sandisk Extreme for that since it's like 9x times faster with writes.
What do you guys use your USBs for?
d-did he died?
Good for long term attached storage on SBCs, but you can mount a FAT formatted drive async and dump files faster if you're only interested in running sneakernet from one PC to another. Also the whole being able to read from OS' other than Linux part.
>2.0
wtf did you expect?
bitch, this is the best
24 gbs
suck it
32 gbs is all i need bitches
No, because mine shat itself after a half a year. It dropped everything inside the metallic shell somewhere, and I had my password manager on it so just as a precaution I had to change a lot of passwords.
I bought three of those more but never fully trusted it anymore
kek
Reading "an USB device" never flows well but that's the proper way to do it, correct?
I recently got a 128gb m2 drive and put it in a usb3/usbc enclosure and it's been absolutely great. NTFS partition for files and a little 8gb linux partition that I can boot into on any computer i plug it into while also being able to mount the NTFS for home-storage along with the regular storage.
Incredibly fast and spacious but with a little sacrifice of portability
It's shit. I have 32GB and it works like a shit. Something happened to it and now I have to find just exactly how much I have to put it in to detect it...
Fucking garbage, won't buy anything like this again.
USB 3.0 UAS HDD reporting in.
I had some of those Samsung metal bar drives, my 128gb kicked the bucket when it got too hot, overheated and died. Same thing happened to my 32gb one. Can't quite do that to a hard disk... But hard disks aren't water resistant, nor shock resistant.
i have that one, never thought it was anything special
it heats up since it's all metal
works well tho, and tiny
I have several of these which act as extended storage in my raspberry pis
That piece of shit died me
What do you mean?
Yes, I have 3 of them.
Did someone say "greatest usb drive"?
When you say USB out loud it phonetically starts with a consonant (you-ess-bee) so it feels more correct to me to say "a USB..." but I'm not really sure. Where's a linguist?
It's a tight fit for all my USB ports.
what's the point in even having more than 8 GB
my 64GB flash drive broke down after copying 7GB of manga, never recovered
looks like it is trying too hard
Give it back, Jamal.
this guy's right
it's with "a", not "an"
I think it was a hub but I can't remember. I just remember thinking I wanted to keep dust out of it so I used that cover. It fits pretty tightly too so it doesn't slip off.
I have the 64GB version, it's too slow for me. I wonder if the USB3 version is any better.
>ssd
>necessary
>U
>phonetic consonant
the absolute state of american education everyone
best design ever made
& top quality
